Get Ready for Ragga Muffins Festival in Long Beach

ragga_muffins_festival_logo.jpgOne of America's largest and best Reggae Festivals is about to get underway in Los Angeles on this upcoming Saturday and Sunday, February 16 and 17. The 27th Annual Ragga Muffins Festival - to be held at The Long Beach Arena on Ocean Boulevard, continues its tradition of not only featuring Reggae's top brass, but also of honouring Bob Marley, recognising him for being one of the champions of human rights and world peace.

This year's festival will feature international artists who exemplify the spirit of Reggae as it was manifested and championed by Bob Marley. Capleton, Sly & Robbie, Anthony B, Rootz Underground, Cultura Profetica, Cherine Anderson, Soul Majestic, Idren and more to be announced will fill Saturday's line-up that will also feature New Orleans born; Bermuda raised Collie Buddz.

Alpha Blondy who offers a Reggae beat with a distinctive African Cast is set to spice up Sunday with other giants in reggae: Midnite, Sly & Robbie, Anthony B, Queen Ifrica, Gentleman, Gregory Isaacs, Ed Robinson and the man known in some regions as 'Monsieur Royal' Tarrus Riley. The Los Angeles based Aggrolites and many more will also appear.

It promises to be another family friendly weekend with free admission granted to those children 12 years and under who are accompanied by an adult. Tickets are on sale and scorching hot as the highly anticipated festival prepares to roll.

Activities will include a chance to experience the largest North American Crafts and Food Fair along with a Children's Activity Space filled with things to enjoy like: face painting, story-telling and more.
