Spirited Performances at Edith Dalton James Comprehensive High School, set the Inseason Juice KLAS tour in a class by itself. The tour passed through on February 1st, the date marking the beginning of Reggae month in Jamaica.

Interacting with students was definitely a highlight at the school that celebrates its 30th year in existence this year. School Principal, Mr. Howell, took time out to present an outline of all the wonderful activities planned to commemorate the school's founding. Speaking with show host, Tony Young, he addressed KLAS FM radio listeners as well as students and teachers gathered in the school yard for the concert that was being broadcast live.

Students were invited to showcase their own artistic talents and many grabbed the opportunity to perform. Entertaining not only the wider KLAS radio audience, but also their peers who sat mainly on chairs while some were seated on columns, railings and anything they could find, the students gave the High School Tour a new meaning, as their own artistic development was being enhanced.

Tameika McCleod was the first to step up to the challenge; she did a rendition of "Wrong Address" by Etana and Andre Thompson and Oshane did their original tunes; all to the encouraging cheers of approval from their fellow schoolmates. Marco Henry a dub poet also performed, while Terror Prince, a student from the Eltham Park High school lent his huge voice to the scene. Described as the young man with the big voice and sounding much like the warlord Bounty Killer himself, Terror Prince rocked the crowd with consciousness. Throughout these student centered performances, issues concerning guns and life of the ghetto permeated the air.

Ms. Ting, dressed in a yellow tights and top, ran to the stage from the gate as her name was being called. She jumped right into her performance asking, "Weh di hot gal dem deh" and the song "Tun It On" came next.

Shane-O's performance brought the afternoon's session to a climax, with him doing "Oh my Gosh," "Crab Inna Barrel," "Ghetto Prayer" and ”If I Did See An Know." The girls especially loved his performance and he did not hesitate to join them in the audience as they screamed and took every chance they got to touch him.

Other performances came from Dugsy Ranks, Baby Chris of LOL popular for "Ring Ding Ding" and "Ring Ding Remix," Nanko, Nawh Switch and Addi Babba... but without the forty thieves, doing "Tippi Toe" and "Tippi Toe an Wine" which had the female students dancing and showing off there skills as he beckoned them to move their waist lines.

It was another successful afternoon with the Inseason Juice KLAS High School Tour and producer of the event from KLAS, Alicia Anderson, says she has been very happy with the productions and even more pleased with the response so far.

The hospitality at Edith Dalton James Comprehensive High was amazing and they were thanked as were tour sponsors: Inseason Juice, Pharmaton, Addidas Deodorant, Aamm Co-op Credit Union, KFC and YardFlex Inc.
