In a packed auditorium of about 300 students the Inseason Juice KLAS High School Tour was in high flight at the Mannings High School in Savanna-La-Mar Friday January 18, 2008. On arriving, YardFlex noticed three students engaged in a drinking competition...no not alcohol, but definitely the Inseason Orange, Apple and Sorrel Juices.

The energy was intense when host Tony Young of KLAS FM announced the next performer and Jah Mason entered the stage with, "I told you" and he did his hit "My Princess Gone." Received with loud screams of approval, his lyrics connected with every students’ nerve and without having to sing another word Jah Mason turned the microphone in the direction of the students who sang line by line, word for word. He performed other hit tunes including "Loving You For So Many Reasons," "You Think I'm Gonna Cry" and "Run Come Love Me Tonight." These songs had boys, girls and teachers rocking and rub - a - dubbing.

Dez I Boyd was in usual good form, giving a great performance. He did songs like "Essence" and Shake Up Yuh Natty," which got very good responses.

After hearing that Black-er was in the building the girls started screaming his name "We want Blacka We want Blacka." Tony Young tried calming them down before giving away gifts from Addidas.

It was now time for the man they wanted and with great enthusiasm,
excitement and energy he entered the stage asking, "Weh di pretty girls dem deh" and of course they screamed MANNINGS, running on stage holding one side of his pants he did "Lata Fi She" which sent the students in a frenzy. He had them waving, jumping, screaming and singing every word of his songs.

Then he paused for a little while to implore the girls to wait until they were 18 to have boyfriends as he segued into, "When some gal man lef dem...Bun Him," which did not seem to go well with the boys. He hit them with "Attidude" then "Tek Off Sumting" and this song had all the students and also teachers waving their shoes or anything they could find in the air. It was an excellent performance from the highly anticipated Black-er but with all the gimmicks he found time to give some encouraging words "Your success depends on you and your failure depends on you." For this he got a big applause from teachers, students and even some parents who had joined the audience after arriving at the school to collect their children.

It was quite an exciting afternoon at Mannings High School, short but certainly Spicey.

The Inseason Juice KLAS High School Tour is sponsored by Inseason Juice, YardFlex Inc., Pharmaton, Addidas Deodorant, Aamm Co-op Credit Union and KFC.
