Pulse Model is overnight International Hit
By: Joseph Cunningham
Jamaican and Pulse Model, Gaye McDonald has been rated among the top 100 models in the world. The rating was done by Red magazine in its annual round-up.
According to a release from Pulse, the teenager was giddy with excitement when she got the news of her selection only six months into her international career.
McDonald, a former student of Holy Childhood reacted with, "This is unbelievable."
"If her debut year was stellar, 2008 seems already set to give the
Caribbean Model Search 2005 winner even more reasons to be ecstatic," says Pulse boss Kingsley Cooper. McDonald was been selected to work last week for top American brand, Macy's.
The young model has already done 12 shows in her first New York season
and 10 fashion shows in London.
"Stella McCartney was so impressed with her in London, that she requested her (the only Caribbean girl this season), for the Paris shows, although there was no plan to do Paris so early in her career," adds Cooper. "In Paris she not only did McCartney's show, but also booked jobs for several clients, including the likes of Lanvin."
