"So far everything is looking good. I don't think I will be convicted. The gun was found in the closet in a package," he revealed.

"A lot of people are saying he is my accomplice...that's not true. He doesn't do music so he can't be my accomplice."

"I know him from we were living in Westmeade and he was a cop at the time. He was missing for a while as I understand he was abroad...I never knew of him to be a bad man," Bascom defended as he went into relating the events that saw him being thrown in jail.

According to him he was at Exodus studio doing a combination with Vybz Kartel titled "A Better Tomorrow" when he met a brethren he had not seen in a long while.

"He used to be a police and he dabbled in promotion," the singer related. According to Bascom he borrowed his car to "pick up a girl" and when he returned they were parring at the studio.

They finally left the studio at 1:30 am and his long time friend asked if he could 'get a kotch' for the night.

"While driving home he told me he was hungry and we stopped to get him something to eat, he even got something for his girlfriend."

When they arrived at his home, Bascom showed his long time brethren the room he would be staying in with his girlfriend, then he grabbed a shower and left with his (bascom’s) girlfriend for Della Splash.

According to Bascom he reached home around 7 am and went to sleep. He awoke about 12 noon and then he took his dog for a walk. When he was almost at his gate he was greeted by 'a bag of cops' who asked him who was in the house and told him that a woman was raped there in the night.

My friend who spotted the cops tried to make a run of it through the back door and they fired some shots at him. They went into the house and searched it and the gun was found in the closet.

The rest is now history where his case is concerned but for now the singer will be returning to court on January 25 and will be defended by his lawyer Althea Grant. His passport has been seized but Bascom is just grateful to be out.

"I am innocent and the world will soon see that," he assured.
