Jah Cure's Statement
Jah Cure's management has issued a statement since the Jam Jam incident saying little about what happened. Read below:
"2007 was a challenging year for me; however, throughout the year I was able to stay focused on the music while maintaining a positive attitude. I am here to uplift the people as I myself was once down. I want to use my music to comfort the hurt and bring joy to the sad.
"Many may have heard of a recent incident at Cocoa Tea's Dancehall Jam Jam, in light of this, I want to state that I am a positive person whose only aim is to uplift people and live in a positive way. I give thanks to those who have helped me throughout my career to reach the level that I am now. I want to thank Sizzla Kalonji as he was one of the first to believe in my music.
"Life is about challenges and hurdles but what makes a man a better person is the way he deals with these challenges and hurdles. I will try to make sure that my music remains positive and that my actions reflect my message." – Jah Cure.

my brother jah cure this is your brother joshua. i saw a thing in the star today with you and sizzla. the first thing which came to my mind was; how come the men in the turban are attacking all of emmanuel children, and why are they doing it. well my spiritual intuition tell me that the men wearing turbans today are the one who watered down emmanuel mission. there is no way these devil can say they are not the anti-christ. emmanuel is the prince of peace, a saint, who came here not only to fulfill moses law, but to fulfill them. which man can wear a turban; mention emmanuel name and is a politician, or a gunman; when emmanuel hands never touched a gun or marked an x. emmanuel predicted that blood will run off a bobo hill like river, and for every righteous that the wicked kills, they wont have shovel to bury their dead, and no not mr antichrist; forget that seven years of famine is sure, and cant turn back. jah cure i say to you now keep the sabbath holy, and be afraid of no gunmenz, and dont go to the gun for your defense, because a day will come when the man who posses the biggest guns wont be able to lift one, and wickedness will come to nought in less than an hour of a day. so i say to all the turban dons, gangsters, and pirates "dare not touch the annointed.

It is not an apology, they make it seems as if Cure is to solely blame, I respect Cure for manning up and addressing the situation, Sizzla can't correct a grown *ss man about anything, Cure has been performing since he came out of jail, all over the world and the Caribbean and just how he sounds on recordings he sounds live, how many can boast and say that, so if he feels disrespected by Sizzla and throws a "tantrum" he is human and is free to do so if he likes, it still doesn't give Sizzla the right to lay his hands on Cure, he ain't his kid, he don't owe Sizzla a thing "ace" or not, Sizzla should be the one making the apology, maybe you should do some investigating as to why he didn't give one as yet.

Any man who has been charged with rape is the lowest form of life, in the criminal world a man can rob, sell drugs, and shoot his enemy, man dealing with man, beat up a boy, shoot a boy. But you could never tell me seh man a bad man when he is convicted of rape. I don't give a f**k what sizzy send to him. I mean how the hell can a man go into prison on a rape charge, and come out a super star, only in jamaica. I.ev sizzy on Judgementyard.org acting like a ra** gangsta enough said.

Now, the artists see that they were supporting a ranting, raving, lunatic... like the saying goes yuh sorry fi mawga daag and him turn round and bite you...
All of Jah Cures publisict need to stop respondign to my post... it hit you only because its true!!

Imani what do you mean ....are you trying to say that 7 or 8 years is not enough. oh please.. i am not condoning the situation but he is out and so talking about him going back or whatever is to me rubbish bordering on immaturity.
Jah Cure is now a free man so if is therapy he needs i am sure the people around him will see to that
he did sing about no bed of roses that should apply to earth not just prison

I don't understand why people just blame Jah Cure for this situation. At the end of the day none of us was there so we really cant say what happened and who started. If Jah was runing his mouth then let him. That is never a reason to hit anyone. I really thought Sizzla would be the bigger man in a situation like this but he is just as immature as Jah if things happened the way they say it happened, but we really dont know what happened.

IMANI i dont feel u know who raped your sister, neither do i feel she knows who rape her, even after reading your post u r still not convincing u r not serious and u r not feeling any pain in regards to your sister being raped, i feel u and your sister r lie-rs, and this is not one of jah cure publicist but a normal person addressing your post, your so call raped Victim sister has never one come out and speak of the incident, never once defended her self, her morals, or her woman hood, tell your sister to speak out if so was the case, let others hear her side of the story, its the only way to get rid of her demons, u must release them.

out an bad,
I ment "sister" in the general sense... Jah Cure's Victim is my black sister. And she has come out in a front page Gleaner article affirming that Jah Cure raped her and that hearing his music still upsets her.
Get your facts straight!

IF SHE WAS REALLY RAPED , MY HEART GOES OUT TO HER.
JA CURE SOULD PAY FOR HIS ACTIONS, WHICH I THINK HE ALREADY DID.
IF ITS TRUE, SHE NEEDS TO MOVE ON, AND LEAVE HIM TO THE CREATOR, HE WILL DEAL WITH HIM IN DUE TIME.
IF JAH CURE IS ACCUSED WRONGFULLY AND HAD TO PAY FOR A CRIME THAT HE DID'NT COMMIT, THEN HER END SHALL B VERY BITTER! LEAVE HER TO THE ALMIGHTY , HE DOS'NT SLEEP.
HE'S ALWAYS AWAKE!
