Trelawny Family Fun Day – an evening of highs and lows
One thing was made clear at the recently held Trelawny Family Fun Day, which took place at the Trelawny Multi Purpose Stadium – it was a new year...but same old foolishness.
These artistes who claimed to have a problem with gays sure seemed rather fascinated by them, as they never missed a beat in promoting them during their performances – remember no publicity is bad publicity!
Many also came with their usual fascination to people's private bedroom practices as they went on and on about oral sex, they would remember patrons didn't pay their money to be hearing the same thing over and over...do your songs!
The show enjoyed a nice sized turnout and saw some good performances ...and some not so great ones.
There were also some names that were advertised on the flyer that were noticeably missing in action such as Buju Banton, Sizzla and Ninja Man. Thankfully the crowd didn't seem to have a problem with the MIAs as they enjoyed what was on offering for the night.
URoy and the Itals brought a night vintage vibes, with singer Prestige generating some excitement with his songs "Tender Loving" and "My Pride."
Nesbeth, Teflon and Natural Black represented well making way for Richie Spice who was in total command. He had lighters flaring and the crowd in a good groove.
Busy Signal was a hit with the massive and his set got even crazier when Elephant Man walked on stage...we are talking some mad vibes here.
The same could not be said for Deva Bratt who failed to impress. Little Hero did better. Perfect was a total turnoff with his expletive-laced performance.
Following Idonia and Vybz Kartel blazed the place making way for Anthony B who shined in his parish...it was total madness when he introduced Beenie Man. It was all Beenie from there as he ripped the place apart, showing that he has the remedy when it came to dancehall. He held the crowd totally enthralled and the vibes got even 'madder' when he brought on Barbee to do "Missing You" and "Give It Up."
Beenie brought the curtains down on another staging of Trelawny Family Fun Day.

What separates Beenie man from Bounty and others is that Beenie Man is a Entertainer and thats what make him King of the Dancehall.

How Beenie Man can dress so good? The man outdress everybody at Anthony B's Trelawny Family Fun Day on Tuesday. HIm wear a white suit with a green vest and a red tie, and the man perform fi almost an hour, without any interruptions, for the massive.

why is it that you all could not big up beenie on his stellar performance without mentioning the killer, you know why bcuz beenie is such a consumate performer he does not know when to stop so he does anything for the spotlight, and will go to any lenghts to get mi sure seh no body nuh hate the doc but the killer is the real man not the real oerformer.. big up the general..

One idiot just had to comment...the Doc can perform on a show for an hour and still maintain the attention of his audience because he has the talent and the hit songs to do so unlike the "General". Anyways, respect to the the real big man in dancehall circles. Beenie is just the best at what he does and nothing aint changing that.
Bless!!!
