The 4th staging of Camp Fire was launched Tuesday night at the Kabana Restaurant in Half Way Tree, and by all indications, the show will be a spectacle.

Patrons are expected to stream into the Windalco Sports Complex, Ewarton, St. Catherine, on December 31.

The show will be characterized by a candle lighting and fireworks at 12 midnight, when all patrons will be asked to light a candle for peace for the new year, 2008.

Then the stellar line-up will entertain patrons. The likes of Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Sizzla, Taurus Riley, Marcia Griffiths, the appearance of Sanchez, Anthony B, Macka Diamond; and the re-emergence of the group once known as the Monster Shack, now the Monster Hemp Hire, will "ram the dancehall".

First started as a community based festival in the hills of Polly Ground, St. Catherine, Reggae Camp Fire has grown into today's spectacle, a concert with international Reggae artists. Since the start of its "stageshow" profile in 2003, Bounty Killer, Buju Banton, Beres Hammond and Beenie Man have graced the stage.

Show promoter, Andrew Prendergast says that improvements in traffic control, parking, ticketing and the usual professional staffing, will make Reggae Camp Fire 2k8, bigger, hotter and better.
