Honour your fathers and mothers that your days may be log upon the earth. That is the idea behind, "Booyaka", a show being planned to pay homage to deceased icons of Reggae music; artistes, producers and musicians.

In the Jamaican context, the word Booyaka signifies positive acknowledgement, or respect. It will be a phenomenal occasion for music and history, at Mas Camp in New Kingston, on Saturday, December 1.

On that night, Jack Scorpio, Merritone, and Kilimanjaro will "serve up" music originally released by those to be honoured on this year's Wall of Fame. Forty-four reggae icons will be recognized this year. Photographs and other historical information will be on display.

Speaking at the launch of the event which was held at The Devonshire at Devon House, on Wednesday night, current Reggae icon Luciano expressed joy that his predecessors were being acknowledged in an organized environment.

This years Wall of Fame will be characterized by:

Bob Marley, Augustus Pablo, I-Roy, Simpleton,Dennis Brown, Joe Higgs, General Echo, Baby Wayne, Peter Tosh, Hugh Mundell, Prince Fari, Desmond Dekker, Garnett Silk, Junjo Laws, King Tubby, Duke Reid,
Culture, Ernie (Early B), Coxsone Dodd, Don Drummond, Jacob Miller, Dirtsman, Barry Brown, Puma Jones, Tenor-Saw, Cynthia Schloss, Nicodemus, Louie Lepki, Delroy Wilson, Hortense Ellis, Count Ossie, Keith Hudson, Jr. Delgado, Scottie, Junior Braithwaite, Justin Hinds,

i love the idea on honoring the reggae greats. very good idea, but i would like to say to the promoters; you are also gonna have to set up charities for the struggling children of these icon, and last but not least you will also need to set monies aside for investigation into the murder of these icon, so the basis of this event, comes with a real difference. i can tell you this that the day peter tosh was murdered. a certain rasta reggae artist was seen on chisolm avenue driving into and out of the same yard, where leppo pulled in on a motorcycle, with another man, about 5:30 to 6:am. so i say do not celebrate these icon with the murderers in disguise, because as you can see rastas are killing rastas at a high level, and to all who dispute me. i dispute you. bob marley said "rastaman woi not the brothers, but the ones who set them up, time alone woi time will tell. think youre in heaven but you living in hell. so i tell all evil rastas, your wickedness will be brought to nought in less than an hour of your own day. mystery babylon. by your deeds and your words you shall be known. there is a natural mystic flowing through the air. if you listen carefully you will hear. i urge anyone who have any information on any reggae artist murders, or plot to kill anymore to come forward. mr tosh, massive and meadow gong rest in peace. rastas stop killing rastas.
