"Mi hot again!" says female DJ Queen Paula whose career is on an upward swing and is ready to lyrically done the place and it just can't get any hotter on the music circuit for the rejuvenated artiste.
She is one of the featured acts on Ward 21's latest rhythm "Dem Gal Sitt'n", which sees her coming with a very provocative single titled 'Dismiss'. Queen Paula rides the rhythm like a jockey in a saddle.
Other acts featured on the rhythm are the 'first lady of the dancehall' Lady Saw, the thought provoking Ce'Cile, the most consistent female veteran of dancehall Lady G and Macka Diamond, among a few upcoming acts that include the promising Tifa.
Since returning to the dancehall from a relaxation period, Queen Paula has been moving full speed ahead in terms of her recording and live
performances.
Her recent performance at the annual History show held in Canada is still being talked about. Paula not only received massive applause, but set a fiery pace for the following acts.
Paula's pleasing performance then spilled over into Jamaica when she performed at the very successful 'Divas In Concert' held at the Fayor's Entertainment Centre. She gave an incredible performance, which saw some patrons giving her maximum amount of applauses.
As a result of the good responses she has been receiving, the demand for the female artiste is also growing. She is looking forward to performing at this year's Sting where the line-up of females is expected to take the spotlight.
Queen Paula has to her credit a few, songs such as 'Mi Fire She Want' (a collaboration with Capleton), 'How Yuh Like It', 'Di Wine Weh Mi Gi Mi Man', and her latest 'Dismiss'. She is also working on other singles that are expected to be out on various rhythms for the coming year.
