A Tribute to: The Coronation of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I
 National Geographic reported that in 1930, as the dawn cleared in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on November 2, it met everyone getting ready for the special historical event to take place that morning - The Coronation of The Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
Together with his Empress, His Imperial Majesty, Haile Selassie I spent the night before in prayer and devotion at the most high alter. During the morning chanting of praises resonated and dancing priests with pulsating drum rhythms joined in. Ancient Jewish rites which were in use at the time of King David, were re-lived right there before the ark of the covenant, the report stated. The Coptic Church in all its impressive might and splendor evoked biblical rituals that seemed to roll the centuries back.
As the time came for this coronation, which is the most important event in the Rastafarian Calendar today, His Imperial Majesty entered the ceremonial hall attired in white silk. He was escorted by aides and clergy and was preceded by waving incense burners.
"The Emperor's name was Anglicized as Power of the Holy Trinity and he gave his sacred pledge to uphold the Orthodox religion of the Church, to support and administer the laws of the country for the betterment of the people, to maintain the integrity of Ethiopia, and to found schools for developing the Spiritual and Material welfare of her subjects," National Geographic reported.
Once His Imperial Majesty took his place on the throne, his holiness Abuna Kyrillos broke the solemn silence with the following decree:
"Ye princes and ministers, ye nobles and chiefs of the army, ye soldiers and people of Ethiopia, and ye doctors and chiefs of the clergy, ye professors and priests, look ye upon our Emperor Haile Selassie the First, descended from the dynasty of Menelik the First, who was born of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, a dynasty perpetuated without interruption from the time of King Sehale to our times."
Following ancient customs as when Samuel anointed David, chanting and prayers to the God of Gods rose from priestly voices and wonderful gifts bestowed. The Abuna then anointed His Imperial Majesty's head with oil and further declared:
"That God make this Crown a Crown of Glory. That, by the Grace and the blessing which we have given, you may have an Unshaken Faith and a Pure Heart, in order that you may inherit the Crown Eternal. So be it."

Today is a special day in our history, the great king, Haile Selassie 1 was crowned 77 years ago. May we forget not, his teaching for human rights. May we forget not, to fight for equal rights and justic for all people. We the children of Africa must continue to strive for the freedom of Africa and the unification of all African countries. Most of all may we not forget,
the light.

Yes black people remember King Solomon and Queen of Sheba had an affair, Queen of Sheba went back to Ethiopia carrying King Solomons child,the continuation of the throne which is no longer in Isreal but in Ethiopia. Haile King Selassie defender of the truth acknowledges Christ the Saviour Jehovah the Most High, we must all follow these footsteps....

becuz God dont reside in some palace in the sky to me i can overstand the heights of the Emperor as God.
I c God in many people that i meet, and I feel the God/Goddess prescene in many that i know. Its so much less of a supernatural MAN-duppy to me and so much more of a vibez, a heights, a livity,
when God becomes a white or black or purple or whatever MAN in white garment with a long beard sitting on white clouds with a mafia disciple at the gate of his mansion to banish us sinners to the opposite of this white paradise (a black hell) then mi bun all GOD and will never call My Emperor a GOD.

Although the kings and queens of Ethiopia in the past have carrried the same titles,(King of Kings, Lion of Judah) His Royal Majesty Haile Sellassie I was the first one to be recognized worldwide as the King of Kings, as the news was carried across the Earth thru newspaper, movies and radio. Even though his son Asfa Wossen held a secret ceremony and was crowned Emperor of Ethiopia, this was not recognized by the world. Haile Sellassie I, First and Last.

this king need a little bit more definition, a lot dont know what the hell this king stand for so his name is constantly been be-little my obviously not intelligent people, and its shameful, mad man can u get more specific with your saying, if a man dont realize by now say Selassie is not a god them him lost in civilization, no man who bleed the same blood as i can be my god, if so be it i can be god, my god is a ruler and conqueror of all living and dieing thing, and he is the most high until i greet the i, other than that no one can tell me nothing. blessed love

out and bad,selassie deserve honour yes, but every body who regard him as jesus incarnet,god or some godly status is because he is the son of solomon and sheba,FIRE,this in in KINGS 10 in the bible where queen sheba heard of his fame and offerd him gold and other things,but KING SOLOMON IF U READ KINGS 11.3 SOLOMON HAD MANY WOMEN HE HAD 700 WIVES!!! No one living today was alive when christ came on earth. But those who were alive at that time did not all see him as the son of god. And billions of people around the world still do not see him as God.
Many view him as just a man. Many people living at the time of christ saw when he was born, knew his parents watched him grow, and saw him die on the
cross bleeding like any mortal man and many did not believe that he was resurrected. So christians
need to remember their history when they look at Selassie I and Say he is not God. Cause many look at them as if their praising a man. But through faith Rasta's and Christians hold firm to their believes. Bless
