THE CURE IS HERE!!

edit_Curefest.jpgWith the recent release of "Freedom" his first single written and recorded in the 'free world', Jah Cure announces to the world: "Now the day has come you will see me again." And see him we will, for the first time in Jamaica, Cure will perform a full length set on Sunday, October 14 at Longing For the final night of the 3-day event aptly titled Curefest.

In celebration of Jah Cure's freedom, Danger Promotons, Iyah Cure Promotions and Brass Gate Promotions are throwing down this 3 day 3 venue extravaganza that goes from October 12 to the 14th. Starting off at the Starfish Trelawny Hotel with an all white affair on the Oct 12, the fest moves to Pier 1 in Montego Bay on October 13, then over to the Trelawny Multi Purpose Stadium on the final Sunday night, October 14.

Entitled, "Reflections," the 1st event, an all-inclusive earth night party - will feature Etana, Karen Smith, Live Wyya band, ZJ Smurf and ZJ Electra.

"45 Cure's" titles a selector spin-off night, hosted by MC Nuffy, where radio DJs will compete with Sound System DJs at Pier 1 on the 13th. Major sound systems will be showcased like: Danger Zone, Black Chiney, Stone Love and Rennaisance. They will square off against radio jocks like Liquid of Zip FM and Sunshine of Irie FM.

The recently constructed Trelawny Multi Purpose Stadium will house "Longing For," the grand finale on October 14. MCs will be Ron Mushette, Elise Kelly, GT Taylor, Richie B as well as Big A and the stage will be filled with renowned artistes. Besides the much anticipated performance by Jah Cure himself – who will close the show, other artistes slated to appear include: Barrington Levy, Beres Hammond, Capleton, Sizzla, Morgan Heritage, Ninja Man and Beenie Man.

Curefest will be donating part of the proceeds to Western Society for the Upliftment of Children and is sponsored by X-News, Hype! TV, Juice TV, Starfish Trelawny Hotel and Kings of Kings.
