 Photos like this one of Lauryn Hill performing in what closely resembles a clown's outfit is to many, displaying signs of being mentally ill. A very disturbing radio report aired recently in Jamaica featured hosts who discussed this mental condition negatively and jeeringly. Yardflex would like to extend our regrets if Lauryn Hill is indeed living with a mental disability at this time. Our [Black, Caribbean. African] culture(s) have been on the whole, traditionally unknowledgeable and often unkind to the mentally disabled, however this is a manageable illness and we wish that Lauryn is not ill, but if she is – we pray for a speedy recovery for her.

An HIV/AIDS Vaccine Trial has sadly failed. The trial that was running tests with clinical trial volunteers, some of whom resided in Jamaica, aimed at discovering the efficacy of vaccines that would stop the spread of the world's most grave pandemic to date. Head of epidemiology at Jamaica's Ministry of Health, Dr. Peter Figuroa said this week, that of the 11 people who contracted the HIV virus while engaged in this particular trial, non were Jamaican. Scientists continue their search for an HIV vaccine, even though this trial was terminated following the reported "11 failures."

Why isn't andre 3000 crazy or richard simmons or lets say (she is what she is) . What about michael jackson, Marilyn Manson. the world system is crazy. dutty wine dance is crazy. politics, violence cia. everything and everyone in the world right now is mentally ill. im sad that many people find it so easy to make such tasteless jokes about lauryn hills condition. sometimes media people make you wonder if they are just trying to be funny or if they really have no sence of understandin.
wyclef too was wrong to run out in the media and stuff like that before doing all he could to help her if according to him she is desperately in need of help. but a so some people treat them friends.
lauryn has immense talent and i pray that is not true. but if in fact it is lets all pray its not too late for her to be helped and that someone close to her will stop yapping to the cameras n press and actually try to help her help herself.

I lost ova Wycleff for chatting Lauryn. Wyclef has always been jealous of Lauryn's talent. In the interview he stated that Lauryn needs medication, Wyclef himself needs rehab and detox, he's a coke head. It disgust me to see that L and Wyclef come from so far, and for him to try and dis her on the tele was very soft and coniving on his part. For the record, Lauryns outfit in the above photo was designed by a up and coming designer out of Detroit. Nuff people are not ready for L she is too real, she is a trendsetter not a follower. Wyclef will neva reach where L has reach, that's why he tries to dis her whenever he get's a chance. Wyclef when you start sell like Lauryn then u can chat, go look for a rehab and leave the Voodoo.... And stop acting like a Jamacian you are not and will neva be. Your disgusting.

Ms. Hill is more sane now than she ever was. She simply started living for her self and being true to herself and not concerning herself with what others may think about how she dresses. In fact I think she is trying to make a point that she doesn't care... she wants her audience to focus on her music and her message, not on her body like nost of these strippers/prostitutes pretending to be musicians.
She is extremely talented... I will go further she is a genius.
Many Radio personalities and persons in the media enjoy puting people down... that is a reflection of their insanity not Ms. Hill's.
Ms. Hill is beautiful, talented and strong yet vulnerable. She has not put out an album in almost a decade and she still sells out shows all over the world.
They say he who has the last laugh, laughs best. Well I am pretty sure that Ms. Hill is laughing all the way to the bank. Don't try to put her in your narrow-minded box, she just wont fit!
Regarduing Wyclef... Why who?

I have friends who bought tickets for lauryns concert in London and want a refund...she is now so very boring...but i take your points about the media and wywho.
but really guys is she happy and contented or is she still seeking seeing seeking, like i wrote before we MUST pray for her..such talent should be protected

To Imani, even if she's not concern about the latest fashion trend, lord she nuh affi go to such lenght fe look like a mad woman, she a go nice and simple. Anyways how she dress is up to her. I have nothing on her because I actually used to like her voice and her music. I hope she's not mad for real.
Also it sad that another trial to find a cure for AIDS has failed. PPl let's practice safe sex, we can't afford to lose our battle to live to the big A, it nuh have nuh mercy.
