JAH CURE – “MY LIFE”
The single, "My Life" is a sombre reflection of Jah Cure's life experiences. The mood is set as Jah Cure, accompanied by the slow strumming of an acoustic guitar, speaks of the world he has been through. Imbedded in the lyrics is a song of possibilities and hope which shows Jah Cure's positive view on life.
Jah Cure tells us that he has "seen it all while the wicked people stand aside and do their thing," but he still prays to Jah and uses his music as his comfort. "My Life" is a deep look into the mind of Jah Cure and the mental struggles he has had to overcome. "My Life" is perfectly arranged and the ambiance helps to emphasize Cure's unique voice and lyrical ability. One of the best attributes of this song is the maturity that Jah Cure demonstrates on the track without overpowering the listener.
He is at one with the music.

I love Jah Cures music but since he has been out, I am a little apprehensive. He went to prison because he was found guilty of a crime and my expectation for him is very high. The victim does not want his money or anyone else’s but I expect him to remember why he was in prison and that his life works should be to continuously remind youths to keep away from violence and crime. I expect him to live a life that will aide Jamaican youths not to follow his path. In my hopes for Jah Cure I continuously pray for a better day on my little island in the sun.

Let's not judge Jah Cure. As a radical feminist I have seen both side of the coin. I have seen psychopathic people tell lies and send descent people to prison,as well as I have also seen psychopathic people living amongst us every day committing crimes and never imprisonated. So just let JAH JUDGE HIM.

We all seem to cast blame, what about forgiveness. At age 9 I was rape by my babysitter. As a adult I've found within myself a better place and have forgive this lady. Cure has paid for the mention acts. You or I was not there and most importantly the whole case was a shacky one anyway, with numerous loopholes for errors in judgement. So please give the young brother a break. Who are you to cast judgement, I'm sure not Jah. Only he has that right.

I cannot comprehend how normal people can pass judgement on people. We livein a very wicked world as it is and as black people are very broken. I respect anyone in life who does wrong and can show remorse or come out stronger. Jah Cure is truly an inspiration to us as black people and his experience in prison should be used an example, that even when things go wrong and may appear dark, just beleive in God. This man went to prison as a teenager and came out a teacher. Prison is a form of punishment for a crime committed and should not be used to judge someone for the rest of their lives. Jah Cure sings nothing but reality, life and love and this is what is missing from our children. I hope that his supporters over powers his haters and let him into the UK to spread some good vibes. Jah Cure your muzik is an inspiration to us all.The Vibes you sing never once degrade females or talk about the worldly things always positive and upright.
