Jah Cure To Perform in Jamaica Soon
By: Olimatta Taal
Many reggae fans of the world have been longing to see Jah Cure perform live in concert. For the first time in the Caribbean, fans will get an opportunity to be a part of a three day Cure Fest celebrating his freedom and birthday. The events will take place from October 12-14th.
A launch was held at the Cable and Wireless Golf Club in New Kingston on Tuesday September 18, to unveil the activities scheduled for Cure Fest weekend. Hosted by Nicki Z of Zip Fm and Hype TV, the keynote was delivered by Dr. Leaheim Semaj who spoke about forgiveness, talent, and the potential for good things to come to Jah Cure. Dennis Howard unveiled the events of the weekend and the extensive line up.
The weekend will begin with an all-white-all-inclusive party to be held at the Starfish Trelawny Hotel on October 12th. Etana, Karen Smith and Live Wyaa will perform and it will be Cure's earthstrong. The following night, the festivities will move to Pier 1 in Montego Bay where "45 Cures" will be held. It is to be a clash between Jamaica's number one radio DJ's from Irie Fm and Zip Fm against the biggest sound systems like Stone Love, Danger Zone, Renaissance, Razz & Biggy, Sky Juice and others.

The climax of the weekend is a concert featuring Jah Cures first live performance in Jamaica since his release. It will also include some of the best that reggae has to offer with artist like Beres Hammond, Barrington Levy, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Capleton, Jr. Reid, Queen Ifrika, Cecile, Mavado, and others.
A slightly emotional Jah Cure thanked everyone for supporting the launch and following a small request from the audience, he shared a snippet of "Freedom," a recent hit song. Cure Fest aims to bring back consciousness to reggae/dancehall with a mission to cure the world through music. Beneficiaries of the show will be Western Society for the Upliftment of Children and the Alpha Boys School.

I guess the many reports re Jah Cure is to keep him in everybody's mind.
I hope this dont backfire on them because of what appears to be greed. Why wait so long and have 3 consecutive days concert?
Hope people still remember and attend when the dates finally come.

I LOST RESPECT FOR HIM WHEN HE GETS OUT OF JAIL AND WENT TO ANOTHER COUNTRY TO PERFORM INSTEAD OF DOING IT IN JAMAICA FIRST.JAMAICA WAS THE COUNTRY THAT WAS PRAYING FOR HIM THE WHOLE TIME HE WAS IN JAIL.

Jah Cure has served his time...so quit convictiing him! and please do not stand by watching and waiting for him to fall because it won't happen so get over it...and for those who pass judement on Jah Cure...remember... it was Jesus who said "He who is without sin...let him cast the first stone" and no one could...not even you or I... but what we all need to do is pray for him to carry on his journey with the spiritual guidance from God above to move Jah Cure in a very positive direction... God is a forgiving God why can't we do the same...no matter what.... Jah Cure is still our brother and today... I believe he is a better man....
Peace and Blessing Angel
