HEADLINED MONTEREY BAY REGGAE FESTIVAL IN CALIFORNIA ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND
Twenty-three years after their fading away from the music scene as a group, the Wailing Souls reunited for a long awaited performance at the world famous Hollywood Bowl in California on August 12th. Burning Spear as well as Sly and Robbie joined him to thrill the 17,000 strong capacity crowd. Fort Lauderdale, Florida was their next stop on August 25th at The Club Revolution, where a repeat superb performance ensued.
Then on to the famed Circle House Studio (Inner Circle’s; own state of the art studio) in Miami, to record the track "One World" for an upcoming Shanachie Records reggae tribute CD of songs by pop/reggae group The Police – who are themselves newly reunited.
Labor Day weekend saw the Wailing Souls rocking the 12th Annual Monterey Bay Reggae Festival with sweet harmonies through classics like, "Things and Time," "Firehouse Rock," "shark Attack" and many more favorites.
Plans are now in the making for the Wailing Souls to release a new album followed by an extensive tour of North America, Europe and points beyond.
