ASSASSIN STEPS BACK ON THE SCENE WITH HIS NEW ALBUM GULLY SIT’N

assassinsexygirlsnudebeyonce_rihannajayz.jpgKnown to annihilate and “assassinate” all competition through his lyrical brilliance and original sound, Assassin (hence the name) returns with his sophomore album, "Gully Sit'n" on August 28th. "Gully Sit'n" arrives after his critically acclaimed album "Infiltration," a slew of #1 hits on the International charts, recent summer tours in Europe and Japan and performances at Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest 2007 in Jamaica. The dancehall star now prepares himself to surpass his current achievments.

According to Sean Paul, "Assassin is the one to take dancehall music to an international level and step up on it like I have been doing it, Beenie Man, Shaggy… The girls dem like him, the lyrics he puts together are always top, he chooses good melodies, and he has an image," as stated on a BBC 1 Extra Interview.

The rising superstar showcases a multitude of these talents on his upcoming album, "Gully Sit'n." Assassin explains that the title track is "celebration of ghetto lifestyle as opposed to a lamentation about how horrible it is." Also songs like "The A.R." take an uncompromising look at the reality behind the gun play so prevalent in popular entertainment. "Don't Make Me Hold You," which is expecting its video debut shortly, alarms all allies on this popular hyper-charged tune.

"No Boring Gal," his hot single and video reaching the top of the charts, boldly expresses his enthusiasm for a woman that can turn up the heat. The album also boasts an all-star roster of producers like veterans, Dean Fraser and Dave Kelly (whose massive 85 riddim provides the aural backdrop for Assassin's player's anthem "Anywhere We Go".

Assassin first became involved with the music business at the age of 17, while still a student at Camperdown High School. He has built and strengthened a solid reputation in the industry and continues to develop professionally by investing in his education. Currently, Assassin is enrolled as a student at University of Sunderland in England, studying towards a degree in Business Management.

First, I must say that I was never really into Assassin's music BUT on Sunday when I went to Suzie Q's (Reggae Talent Search - which was off da chain) Assassin had his album release party after and I just concentrated on his lyrics then I took time to watch him on stage and I have to say that Artiste have it.

He reminds me of artistes from the 90's and prior how they go on stage and give you a show/performance no pull up. He is a true artiste. Even an elder in the business said the same he was proud of Assassin and Vegas too. Vegas came to support Assassin and unlike some artistes he did not over stay his welcome on stage - the elder even added that is what is missing in the business that close bond true friendship like in the 90's when artistes supported each other and hit the road together and have fun performing. He was thrilled to see it with Assassin and Vegas.

Big up and nuff respect to you two artistes.
