Reggae Down Under (RDU) will be on Caribvision on August 27, 2007, with the performance of Reggae legend Lloyd Parks (officially, Mafia) on his recent Trip to Australia. Watch this back in time selection Live on Caribvision – Direct TV channel 2181 at 5.30pm – check your local listings. For September/October the featured artiste will be Luciano.
Tarrus Riley appears live in showcase style
Tarrus Riley will appear at Café 400, Nostrand Avenue, New York - live and in showcase style on Thursday, august 30, 2007. Come out and meet and greet with the sensational singer in a setting that will allow you the chance to get autographs and win many giveaways. Tarrus will perform his smash hits like, "She's Royal," "Stay With You," and "Beware."
Jordin Sparks has signed to Britney Spears' record label, Jive Records.
The American Idol winner, who was in fact the TV talent show's youngest winner ever- has become the first idol winner to join the label. Her first single, "Tattoo", will be released at the end of this month, with her debut album set to follow in November.
In a statement from her new boss Barry Weiss, he says, "Her poise, her amazing vocal ability, her relentless optimism has been apparent to millions of fans all around the world. We're honoured to have this burgeoning worldwide superstar on Jive Records.
Nadine Sutherland recently flaunted her high energy dancing and powerhouse vocal style at the Philadelphia Caribbean Festival at Penn’s Landing on August 19, 2007. Nadine performed old favourites and hits from her new album, "Call My Name," like, "Cyan Tek It" and "Keep Me Safe."
Currently a judge on Digicel's Reggae Stars competition, Nadine identifies with those vying for the Reggae Star crown, as she was winner herself at the first ever Tasstees Talet Competition, from where she went on to record with Tuff Gong Records and conquer the reggae world.
