Sold Out Ministries Brings Free Crusade with its 'Use-Aid' project


kirkfranklin_promo05.jpgSold Out Ministries is committed to making a difference in the lives of Jamaica's Youth and they plan to use a new and intriguing project, 'Use-Aid' to do so. Mentoring young people through music and The Word, 'Use Aid' addresses the mission of Sold Out Ministries by its ability to change people’s lives – especially young people.

The brainchild of Paul and Dorrett Blake Sold Out Ministries reaches out to those in schools, hospitals and prisons. They also hold a street church. With the aim of "setting it right" Paul Blake said 'Youth Aid' will help young people shift they're focus of concentration from the rough and influential areas of sex, drugs and music that affect them negatively to more edifying issues.

'In trying to get across to youth the idea that - You've tried everything, now try Jesus - We include the development of opportunities for jobs as well as twelve scholarships to Youth Enhancement Services in Montego Bay.

Paul Blake said, "Youths are my passion." This prompts his pursuing unique means of not only grasping but also holding their attention. On August 22, 23 and 24 2007 at Dump Up Beach, Montego Bay, a free workshop/concert series will take place, beginning each day at 6:00pm. Mega Stars in R&B, Soca, Reggae, Gospel will provide the music, while The Word will be presented by different excellent speakers each evening.

Wednesday, August 22 will see DJ Nicholas, Shurwayne Gardner and Jason Mighty through down positive musical sounds, while the speakers will be Todd Curry and Mary Wildish. On Thursday the 23rd, Kirk Franklin will be the headliner with Goddy Goddy, New Generation and Stevie B also appearing. Dorrett Blake will be speaker. The final evening will feature Papa San, Judy Mowatt, Paul Blake and Kerron Ennis, along with Todah performing as dancers. Sold Out Ministries Co-founder Dorrett Blake will return as the speaker.

The Best part of all this crusade news is that the entire 3 days of solid events are being presented free of cost. 'We expect to see changes in young people' Paul Blake said as he encourages all to come out and participate at Dump Out Beach and further with Sold Out Ministries.
