Pat Francis Ministries puts an extra focus on youth

pat_francisgospel.jpgThe empowering ministry of Jamaican born Dr. Pat Francis, senior pastor of Kingdom Covenant Ministries in Toronto, Ontario reaches millions of people around the world every week by television, and daily through her easy to navigate website. Entitled "Washed By The Word," the television broadcasts aim to take the message and the mission of Jesus Christ to all nations and reaches people every week from all walks of life and from many different cultures.

Established in 1999, Pat Francis Ministries Inc. is a US and Canadian rooted charitable organisation that encompasses the media and missions arm of Kingdom Covenant Centre (KCC).

At their Toronto base, the KC Ministries is extensive, providing services for youth in addition to their full school program that sees children accessing wholesome and well rounded education.

KC Youth Services has a mission to restore, equip and transform young lives to achieve their full potential regardless of their circumstances. This is achieved through the programs at KC Collegiate, which is a fully accredited high school delivering high calibre education to young people who require support to overcome barriers to successfully complete of their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The following programs are offered:

Restorative Justice. Designed to provide restoration, rehabilitation and reintegration into families and society at large. The interventions are designed to break the cycle of crime, while addressing the psychological, mental, physical and emotional needs of the individual.

Student Enhancement Program. Provides Academic Mentorship for students during High School and College.

Student Intervention Program. An academic mentorship program for students from grade 6 to University. Each student is assigned an academic mentor based on compatibility and career aspirations. mediation between principals and students or parents.

Mentorship. Carefully selected and screened mentors are available as positive role models to young people, to whom they give their time, knowledge and hearts. The mentors are committed to empowering young people with necessary skill to restore hope and positively contribute to the community and society. Counselling - qualified psychotherapists provide restorative counselling for youth at risk.

Sports & Recreation. Youth workers provide sports programs and opportunities to partner with Toronto University for combined basketball and other sports.

Everything always starts with the youths dem. Once you reach dem alot of Jamaican problems can be sloved.
