Shop Boyz Are Already Platinum - 'Rockstar Mentality' Mania Starts June 19
OnDeck/Universal Republic Records' breakthrough Atlanta trio, SHOP BOYZ, are rocking the Mastertone and Radio record books with their groundbreaking rock-edged smash single "Party Like A Rockstar." The sizzling song, which reigns as the multi-genre/multi format smash of 2007, leaped from #51 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, soaring all the way to #2 as it also overtook the mobile and digital formats, becoming the fastest mastertone certifications recorded by Billboard Magazine since they began tracking the various mobile music platforms 3 years ago. The explosive single reached the coveted million-ringtone milestone in only six weeks of release.

Currently, the frenzied 'Party' sits at #1 on Billboard's Hot RingMasters Chart, and #2 on Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart. The energetic hit has now reached the top rung of almost every ringtone and wireless carrier chart available, already reigning atop the mobile music rankings of Cingular, Sprint, Jamster, Modtones and Boost. Such digital dominance is virtually unprecedented for a debut artist entering the portable and mobile music market prior to the launch of their album. The SHOP BOYZ’ much anticipated debut effort, ROCKSTAR MENTALITY, is scheduled for release June 19.
"Party Like A Rockstar" has become one of the most memorable genre-mashing singles in hip hop history, a street-meets-rock tour de force that literally has fans crowd surfing in hip hop clubs. Dubbed 'hood rock' for the innovative cross-pollination the Shop Boyz have brought to hip hop, some inner city clubs in Atlanta (where the song first exploded) have begun to monitor the song’s play due to the euphoric, non-stop crowd reaction it ignites.
Check out the new video for "Party Like A Rockstar" from Atlanta native Shop Boyz! The video was helmed by director Marc Klasfeld (Foo Fighters, Gnarls Barkley, Jay-Z).

Jamerican Girl,
Learn your history Before you talk!! Rock was originally Black music... we started it they took it and ran with it... they are trying to do the same thing with Jazz, rap and other music... learn the facts first...

Doctor for your information mi did already kno seh rock did start inna di black community as I am of BOTH Jamaican and African AMERICAN descent. Mi fada is American from the south so I am well informed sah, so yes it did start by black americans yes but not in this form. Back then it had a message. It cam from the blues but had a faster tempo, thank you very much and dem black people of the states WHERE I LIVE, did nevah say some foolishness like "totally dude", jump around an a sex off eachother cause dem drunk or high nor did they wear blonde mohawks, it had a point back in the days of the blues and was stolen by Elvis who turned the music of soul into PURE FOOLISHNESS so dont question my knowlegde or credibility.

I love that song! Jamerican girl, that was unnecessary. Your intial comment suggested ignorance, "Here in the states people fall into any hype, pure foolishness. "Party like a rockstar" fool dem always wan follow white people." Next time, formulate a complete statement and no one will see the need to check you.
Furthermore, be real. Your name, Jamerican girl, and comments were pompous. Did you think that would give you credibilty? NO it doesn't. You tried to familarize yourself with the audience by writing the first comment in patwa. You also blasted your fellow AMERICAN's.
Doctor wrote in standard english. You tried to flip the second comment. What was that for? Did you think that would give you more credibilty? NO, it doesn't. You showed your colors with that one.
I am a Jamaican woman living in the US and one thing that I can't stand is when "Jamerican's" try to front. If we were face to face, I would TOTALLY check you a** DUDE.
