Vybz Kartel Canadian Tour postponed until further notice

 MONTREAL: One of Montreal's most credible production companies has been slapped in the face by the hand of bureaucracy, causing the postponement of the highly anticipated Vybz Kartel and Red Rat "No Regrets" Canadian tour. Cezar Brumeanu of the internationally renown CB Production Company, is no stranger to the processes required by immigration law and was in an understandably anxious state the day prior to the scheduled Montreal date, June 8th. His dilemma stemmed from unforeseen barriers that were preventing the Canadian Embassy from issuing Kartel a permit to enter Canada in time for the concert.
What would have been Kartel's first appearance in Montreal was foiled by red tape that ended up choking the life out of this event and the entire tour. Brumeanu said that even though Red Rat and his crew landed in Toronto on Thursday, Vybz Kartel was being given a run around at the Canadian embassy in Jamaica. There, Kartel was told to, "Come back tomorrow," three times in a row since his original appointment on Tuesday.
By Thursday evening it was inevitable that even with a successful Friday appointment at the embassy, it would be impossible for Kartel to catch a flight to Montreal in time for a performance that same night.
CB Productions regrets having to postpone the Canadian Tour until further notice, and ask that ticket holders return their tickets to the outlets where they were purchased, for full refunds.

Man this really sacks..Back here in TORONTO we were looking forward to the show..Always a flop show ting..Differently he aint gonna get the visa cuz once u have gun record and ting toronto embassy nuh want yuh here..A so dem move out dey..O well..That sacks though..There goes my wkend..........But Addi gwaan big up yuhself everyting criss.

yuh see it a that happen last year. a whole heep a ppl. buy dem tikit and a whole heep a ppl nah get fi wear dem hairstlye an clothes but hope him get it next time caa toronto awaits him. it soo sad caa a it a di talk yah know and everybody disappointed. how well mi will see him in jam dung caa him addi di best same way. hope say di promoter dem sen on back di money wey wi pay caa dat a nonsense

Honestly, Canada is better off without Kartel on their soil. It is a great lesson for all artist on the rise...do good and good will follow you. The man has a gun charge. He needs to stay in his own homeland with his history of violence.

Unfortunately I have bought so many tickets to see ADDI THE TEACHER,and he never appears.YES HE IS A TALENTED ARTISTE,he and his management team accept deposits & for whatever reason he behaves in this manner.Promoters need to stop booking this man.

U knew week’s probably months in advance that U ah go reach... How can killer reach Toronto many times Busy reach Movado and Bounty’s name is killa? I live in Toronto and Addi done get him money already it was a no clause deal, so regardless he's nice... I was waiting on that show that was well over due He was on the radio on Fri live from Jamdown telling the people him no get no visa fee Canada. But line up a U.K visa 4 6months and America visa. ah #uc*ery that!! All him ah say that him try since Wednesday fee get it. How long him kno say him a reach? Get a proper manager King. My weekend jus %uc* up. I feel it for the promoter who lost out big. Thank god I didn't buy a ticket in advance. But once again I agree with Owen, U see wha gwone when the Artist leaves Jamaica. Please don't blame the embassy! Kartel's management should be held responsible. I don't know why they promote artists on shows when the artists have no papers to enter the respective countries...
The same story was with Richie Spice last week... he was promoted heavily on the Jamrock show only to find out that he too, had no travel documents!
Please managers, promoters, get your artists papers before you announce them being on any show... it will save all of us embarrasment in the future.
