Dallas Dancers dance up a storm in int'l version of Shaggy's Church Heathen video
The Portmore-based Dallas Dancers were the centre of attention at the recent video shoot for the international version of Shaggy's Church Heathen. The shoot which took place on Tuesday May 22 at the Asylum nightclub, saw the Dallas Dancers creating a storm with their well choreographed dance routines.
Directed by Jay Will, the international edition of the Church Heathen video saw cameo appearances from the likes of Danny Champagnie, media personality Miss Kitty and Ninja Man among others.
"We had a good time working with Jay Will. He has always been looking out for Dallas Dancers and we thank him for giving us the opportunity to display our talent", Baswell Rhoden, a member of Dallas Dancers commented.
Apart from the Dallas Dancers, the video shoot also featured dancers including Mad Michelle, Black Blingaz, Sample Six and Cadillac Dancers.
The six member Dallas Dancers, a spin-off from the Portmore Dancers, were recently featured in videos for Jimmy Cozier and Sri Lankan artiste MIA. Both videos were directed by Jay Will.

It think is good dat the dancers are being payed more attention. It you think about it they are the ones who spred the dances all around jamaica.
There are some really some good dancersjamaica especially portmore and st. mary. bigup all my friends in stmary

Jayson AKA Jay Will u think sell off my youth. although u naw read this still, but remember when u come back a oakland park, fl; we have everything ready fi start the movie, the scripts have been wroten, lol all we need to find is some local actors

Mi support the dancers, but one serious request mi have.. STOP BLEACH!! Mi cant even stand it pon deh woman dancer dem..and it is so unattractive pon deh man dancer dem.
I use to love tek een Jermaine Squad, but the bleaching turn me off big time.

I have come to understand that the main reason for re-shooting this video was to remove all the christian symbolism(that was seen in the first video) to make it 'fit' MTV standards. Personally this seems like a sell-out on Shaggys part because the POINT of the song is a critism of the wrong doings of some church members. If there is no church in the video then the song has lost its essence. I would love to see a Jamaican performer that does not sell his/her soul to appeal to the international market

yeh man,i love to see the dancers in music vedeos they are so talented BUT the man dem wey a bleach really need to stop bleaching they look so disgusting,a man must look like man a not like a cute gal

I think it's great that all these doors are open to the dancers....BUT!!! OMG!!! WHY ARE THESE MEN BLEACHING THIER SKINS?!?!?!?!?!?. It don't mek dem look any betta!! they look like manikins!! IT'S DISGUSTING!!!!! THEY NEED TO STOP!! AND DEM NEED FI STOP WAX DEM EYE BROWS!!
