Sean Paul changes name for new album

So I can't say that I didn't see this coming. Sean Paul (Of the hip hop duo The YoungBloodZ) has officially changed his name to Sean P in anticipation of the summer 2007 release of his debut solo disc on Jive Records.

The music which was written by Sean P is being recorded both in Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles and will feature a number of high profile producers and collaborations.

Sean's songwriting skills was recently honored at the 24th Annual ASCAP Awards for "Snap Yo Fingers" a record he co-wrote with E-40 and Lil' Jon. The single was one of the top hip hop records of the year having been played over 280,000 times on U.S. radio.

I know he's a good artiste and everything But The dancehall artiste always makes mention of himself as Sean P. watch out pretty soon they'll be telling him he can't use that any more that's bogus.....Dancehall fi life a dat mi say... I'm out

He doesn't rap too bad, but I was wondering at 1st why did he stole our very own Sean Paul's stage name in the 1st place and still they (people)do refer to Britney's baby as Sean P.

this yute came out before sean paul in america but sean paul is the one who took the name to another level if this rapper had done a big tune before sean paul he wolda be the one people talking bout .p.s why some people so fool read the article yard flex was not saying its sean paul damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn yanna and lacia is there a learning centre near you

Well, he will need to change it again one of these days because Britney Spears baby son is also Sean-P.. (He even have his own Sean-P jersey). And he will be a famous rapper one day like his talented daddy K-Fed. So to all Sean P.. watch out for the real Sean P in a couple years..

wha happen people don't read that is Sean Paul di rapper. Come on people READ. Dat is why di white man say unno want to hide something from a black person put it in a book READ READ READ.

Sean Paul (dancehall artist) came out long before Sean Paul the rapper. In the business if you have been using the name before another artist and can prove it (eg. show a record that was out prior)the other artist has to drop or change his/her name or whoever patent/trademark the name before the other person it belongs to that individual or if u are the last one to use the name the other can offer to buy you out. But Sean Paul had that name before the rapper. It is about time the rapper changed his name.
