Wailing Souls reunite after 22 years

wailing-souls-reggae-bob-marley.jpgThe legendary Wailing Souls' were there from Reggae's beginnings in the late 60s and early 70s. They grew up and sang in the same Trench Town yards in Kingston, Jamaica as Bob Marley, Joe Higgs, and other reggae icons. The veteran multi-Grammy® nominated roots reggae group's longevity has come due their adaptability to trends in the music without the compromise of their vision. The group's music has that vision and sound maintaining their vital part in reggae music in this day and age and this year of 2007 sees all four members reuniting after 22 years.

With the long-awaited reunion of the Wailing Souls - Winston 'Pipe' Matthews, Lloyd 'Bread' McDonald, Rudolph 'Garth' Dennis and George 'Buddy' Haye this year, 2007, they have already created a buzz in the music industry landing slots on some of the biggest reggae festivals in the world including Reggae On The River, Hollywood Bowl's annual reggae night in Los Angeles, and many more to come to complete a busy schedule for these roots reggae veterans.

They are ready to bring their powerful music and message to the world. Adding to their over 26 classic albums is a new collection of the groups hits on CD with special mixes released on Greensleeves Records titled Wailing Souls: Most Wanted - Classic Cuts 1978-1984.

The group has also now retained management / booking representation with industry veteran, Mike Cacia, and his company, Zoe Productions and publicity firm, Foundation Media/PR for all media activities.
