Singer Alaine no ordinary girl

Singer/songwriter Alaine possesses a sweet voice, songwriting skills that show a depth of experiences and a smile that could brighten any day. This American born, Jamaican raised singer is generating quite a buzz in her home Jamaica and is ready to launch her career internationally.
Her song No Ordinary Love on Don Corleon's Seasons Riddim is climbing up the Jamaican and various Caribbean charts and is on several play lists throughout the Caribbean and internationally. The music video has also quickly become a favorite among young viewers. Her song Deeper is included on the Kingston 5 compilation which was released earlier 2006 (Sony Europe). Her songs Chaka Chaka Love, Anything, Go and Love Sound, a duet with Beres Hammond, are in regular rotation in the Caribbean territories.
Alaine performed at Reggae Sumfest 2005 and 2006 to positive reviews. She is one of the twenty artists being showcased in the movie Made in Jamaica directed by Jerome Laperrousaz.

know what u mean, of course. Sametime we have to be above the stereotype shit. First comes the music. And Cecile as you mention as an example of using what you got, but where is Cecile? Haven't heard anything big in years from her. And Tanya, she should have it made long time, she no pretty no, but talented, and the 2 last album, BULLIT, BULLIT.
I convinced that if she had a major company and she a American, she be up there with like Aretha, Roberta Flack, Joan Armatrading, Randy Crawford, Angie Stone, Fantasia, who else...?Ugly but superstars, due to pure talent and genius songs + proper marketing and promotion.

I love Alaine from the first time I heard her song 'no ordinary love' it has been my personal request song to my b/f, it has all the right words that one would feel about their mate,thank you girl.

Mi sorry Alaine can sing yes, and she can write if a she write dem song deh but the song dem almost always sound di same and she nuh really cute, if she coulda dress she coulda pull it off but she cant, yuh talent alone nuh work in jamaica worst america. she need a change in image bad bad. if she did have tami image, not colour or nuttn but style she woulda probably do betta. anybody see wah she wear go air supply show? mi nearly dead. alaine mi love u song dem still but u image....

I love both alaine and tami. They both have their individual styles. Tami is sexy and has a good voice. However alaine has a better voice and better lyrics. Her new song sacrifice and rising are currently doing well locally and the video for sacrifice is in heavy rotation. Alaine simple needs to get a good recording contract cause she is destined for great things. I wish Tami all the best but she needs to drop an album in the US/Jamaica soon. her current hit on the gaurdian angel riddim is doing great but one song every 2 year cannot hold the people.The jamican females are doing great things and the sky is the limit for them
