Gospel artiste DJ Nicholas - he saw fire falling from the heavens

dj-nicholas-gospel-kirk-franklyn-papa-san-chevelle-franklyn.jpgIn his early years, he was known as 'nameless' and produced dub plates for sound systems such as 'Nemesis and 'Flawless.' During this period, he began searching for his true identity. One night, he had a dream in which he saw fire falling from the heavens. In his dream, there was a Rastafarian in his house saying to him that he must know himself. As a result, he sought refuge in the Rastafarian faith believing that Selassie was God and became totally immersed in the Religion.

Knowing that he was raised in a Christian home, he prayed for God's guidance because he was confused about the path he was taking. While studying the bible intensely, he stumbled on Acts 4:12 which reads,"...There is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved." This passage made him realize that Jesus Christ is the only way. Praises be to God, he received the word with thanksgiving. As a result, he shaved his hair and turned fully to the Bible for guidance and inspiration. He made the bold step of attending a church crusade at the New Life Assembly of God, Constant Spring Road. There, he got saved and baptized.

With the passion of knowing Christ came, another passion…the passion of gospel music. He pursued his dreams of doing God's music by approaching Tommy Cowan who recorded his first single 'Barrier'. Nicholas continued to produce songs such as "Pop off the Word" and collaborated with Kerron Ennis on "Holy Ghost Church." He has worked on projects for Bless a.k.a. Prodigal Son, Chevelle Franklyn, Robert & Jeneve Bailey and Danny Browne. Also, he has ministered in Canada, USA, London England and several small Islands, shared stage with Papa San, CeCe Winans and has opened a stage for Kirk Franklin in ST Maarten.

Achievements in 2006
Nicholas is fresh from winning the Artist of the Year Award and the New Artist of the Year Award at the recently held Maja Awards 2006 in Kingston Jamaica; he was also one of the contenders for this year's big prize, Album of the Year for his debut project "On the Shout." DJ Nicholas was tied for the top nomination spot for this year's Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards 2006 receiving a whopping twelve (12) nominations, where he also won New Artist of the Year and Duo of the Year for Holy Ghost Church. He is not just known as DJ Nicholas but as Minister DJ Nicholas, given the title by two ministers being witnessed by thousands of persons and media. He is DJ Nicholas on the shout!!!...And there's no doubt.

Ministry Statement: To minister the undiluted word of God uncompromisingly through the language of the Caribbean music in a most Professional way to the furtherance of God's Kingdom.

I am glad you came to terms with the truth, alot of so called Rastafarians believe that Selassie is God, how ignorant of rastas to believe in that myth. They need to study the bible and understand it and stop the ignorance once more. There will always be war and separation among rastas cause they don't worship the real god, how doom they are. congratulations my friend, don't walk in the path of the unrighteous.

a long time me a tell rasta say Selassie is not god like a lot of them think he his, and iam not going by what this man who just discover god, what iam going by is his quote he read saying there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, in other words the father left no man r woman to take his place so the whole Selassie thing is simply just a powerful man willing to stand up and fight for what he felt was right, and so he did in the best way possible, so he does deserve credit for his actions but he is no god. a nuf rasta a go vex over this post but a so it set until it can be proven wrong. if some one have input let it be heard but talk sensible talk, not ignorance.

blessed love!

ini never comment and this post leads to an incredible discussion if your mind is open.

Tell me how come nuff people are still fight rasta.

rasta nah go vex coz rasta has nuff overstanding of these tings.

let me balance it.

big up sellasie i , the king of kings, conquring lion of the tribe of judah.

rasta is not a religion but a way of life...

u c black yuts have been brain washed and white washed to think the herb is drug.

so it goes , the association of "rasta and crime" because of governments pursuing political interests.

religion was the first form of government ever..
and in this goverment men are the most dominant because the bible say women were created from the men ribs and women commited the worst sin in the beggining.

the argument continues.........thats why now we got christians and muslims because of muhhamad and jesus.

these religions have mashed up the world now..

who is sellasie i?

his divinity is from the throne of king solomon.

listen to bob marley "war"- sellasie i speech

u don know
bless

YOW DAWG A WE A YUH REAL FRIEND DEM FROM BIRTH, FROM CONSTANT SPRING DAYS

Posted by: dammie on March 21, 2007 03:58 PM

as little as i kno of Sellassie, i respect him as a real leader, who stood up for his people and wat he believed in. he deserves honor. but he is still man. wethere he's from the line of solomon or not. even king david himself or king solomon were not worshiped, so i see kno reason why we should live in this myth. dis is not meant to disrespek Rasta, but d truth av to be told

I would just like to say that Jesus has not sent us to argue with anyone. All we need to do is testify to what Jesus has done for us and what he can do for anyone who believes in him - and Jesus HAS done something for EVERYONE. The bible says in proverbs 14:6,7 Go from the presence of a fool when you realize that he is not interested in learning. "To a man who has no faith no explanation is sufficient but to a man who has faith no explanation is necessary". Also check yourself - "People don't care what you know until they know you care". And big up Dj Nicholas cause he a big up GOD and dat OK wid me!!
