By: Kaylia Williams
In an exclusive interview with YardFlex, Anthony B was all smiles about his 1st bouncing baby boy Aden Anthony Blair who was born on March 5th at 12:12pm. "This is my fourth child but this is yet my first son so I am excited."
Even though Anthony B is all smiles about his new born; he is currently battling a court case for possession of and dealing with Marijuana. When asked if he was caught with Marijuana, Anthony shares" No! I was in a studio at 84 Gordon Town Road on the 22nd of June 2006, which I did not know the address at the time, but now that the police are in on everything I found out the address, yuh understand. The producer call mi and tell mi seh him ave a new one drop riddim name 'Overcome Dem' suh we went there, we deh deh a listen the ridim all of a sudden police came there and start raiding the premises. I was sitting there looking on, the owner of the premises fled from the police and then the police held on to everybody who was there at the time." He went on to say that since June 22 he has been back and forth at court, the case is in trial says Anthony; the police are now being questioned. He is slated to return to court on March 21st.
The album
Anthony B born Keith Anthony Blair, steadfast in his mission to represent the poor and oppressed using sharp lyrics to confront political injustices and bring the issues of the people to the forefront. His philosophy has helped into molding his latest album 'Suffering Man'. He boasts that the 22 track album, produced for an independent label Tadz International Records, have been well received internationally as he has just returned from a progressive tour, where he spent 6 weeks in the U.S and 8 weeks in Europe.
Since his return to the island he has been busy promoting his new single 'Tease Her' produced by Mario C, which is to be featured on his second album for Universal Records. The single 'Tease Her' has been well received on the airwaves and has been climbing the charts at the number 2 spot on RE TV. "The song was done for the party lovers, and to bring the bang to the younger generation. The video was directed by Ras Kassa, his concept was creative and fun, he created a playboy ranch vibe with the girls all about gyrating themselves in masks, it felt good to step out into a different character for the video."
The album is slated to be released June of this year and will feature the likes of Lauryn Hill and Mr. Perfect with a remake of Bob Marley's 'So much thing to say right now' also Akon with a song called 'Journey'. "The album is very interesting, says Anthony, you will see a lot of creativity being displayed; I am also planning to do a remake of 'Nobody want to plant the corn' in hip hop style at this time we want to use either C'mon or Jadakiss".

Anthony B, Congratulations on the birth of your son! I didn't read anything about your latest album 'Higher Meditation,' which I just purchased and especially like the cover of Bob Marley's 'Waiting in Vain'... 'Suffering Man' is one your best albums... you touch on some very poignant topics and it's also very homorous, especially 'More Passa Passa'!
I can't wait to hear your upcoming album... I saw you at St. Mary's Beach Bash back in '95 when your locks just start grow... I have the photo in my album and from then I have been a fan!
Jah Bless.
