Kelis - Arrested in Miami

Kelis and Nas were spotted courtside at a Miami Heat game but later that night it seems as if Kelis was protecting her husband, Nas when she was arrested in Miami last Friday.
According to a police report, Kelis Rogers-Jones, 27, was detained at 4:30 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence after she allegedly accosted police officers screaming racial profanities.
The report further details that the officers were in the midst of an undercover prostitution sting on the strip in the South Beachnightclub district. They were questioning a group of men about two suspected female prostitutes who were spotted in the area when Kelis got in the mix to defend her husband. It further alleges that the officers asked Kelis to step away, she continued shouting and rushed towards them. The famous singer had to be restrained by her friends.
Onlookers stopped but after a brief calm, Kelis began her tirade again. Police then arrested her for disorderly conduct. Police also say Kelis resisted arrest while being handcuffed. She was detained for several hours at the Dade County Jail until her release on $1,500 bond.
