Artiste of the year Aidonia - clears the air about bottle throwing at spectrum
 Kirk Roberts, Aidonia's manager, has denied that the deejay was bottled off the stage at Spectrum at UWI, Mona.
"Rumours..." he said of the statements. "The single bottle was thrown towards Icon direction, and Idonia point to his people, and say nobody nuh move, dem fi memba when other artistes were onstage, they were bottled as well, ah just politics why dem say is Idonia and Sunshine alone. Him do him whole set, him even do the song 'Bushkash' and then him exit, as Idonia finish work, we mek one big motion from backstage, parking lot, car, and drive gone, people ah tell lie say a Skatta fling bottle, that is not true, Skatta never do that, a just lie...we hear it was planned by persons who we will not name."
He said there were persons with a vested interest in seeing Aidonia's career fall by the wayside.
"Dem say that by this year, it (the bottle-flinging) must done Idonia career, a certain selector say that. One thing me a tell them, if dem can duplicate self and turn into one million fans, because Aidonia fan base is big, that is why the people vote him as artiste of the year," he said.
In the meantime, promotional plans for Aidonia's work is on the way.
"We have some mix CDs going out, last one was on Ebay, sell like hot bread, we doan have any idea for a name for it...we just build it offa tings wha happen, the new mix CD will come out by end of February, just one more track left and it will be complete," he said.
Aidonia has a number of shows lined up for the month of February.
"Most of the shows are Aidonia in concert, most of the time, him go foreign, work by himself and the venues are sold out. Now we have two in Miami, one in New York, one in Orlando, a show in St. Maarten," Mr. Roberts said.
Aidonia had a successful show in January where he shared the stage with Jim Jones.
"The show with Jim Jones was mad, Aidonia performed after Jim Jones, Jones was walking out but when he heard Aidonia do a song about every single member of the Dipset, him stop and turn back. Foreigners like lyrics, when people go show fi hold ends inna Jamaica, dem go fi listen performance, Americans like metaphors, Idonia have that locked. Only one artiste have it like Idonia, and is Kartel, there is no other one in dancehall who have the metaphors locked like them," Roberts said.
In closing, Mr. Roberts had a parting shot for those people who were trying to stop Aidonia from performing the song, December Deadline by throwing bottles whenever he performs it.
"Tell the artiste dem fi stop pay people fi bottle other artiste onstage. Ah that happen. Anywhere Adonia go and do that song, dem say him ah go get bottle but we nah stop do the song," he said defiantly.
