It is clear that if a one ave to defend dem life and a life is lost that is overstandable, but the continuous senseless killing is peturbing to say the least. When someone is killed many people are affected, oftentimes there are children involved, who now have to grow up under severe hardship and often continue the cycle of violence. There has got to be a better way, it might not be easy but the cycle must be broken. So why do people continue to kill and steal when it is clear that it does not improve anything?

These are indeed troubling questions for Black people in general and Jamaicans in particular should try to find the answers to, otherwise things going to escalate and get from worse to woserah. An mi nho wa witness dat!!!

I disagree with the saying that 98% of killings are because of artists, thats false. It's a proven fact that politics has more to do with murders, than artists, there is no proof on that theory. Political figures have been proven to fund and give guns etc. to gangs who represent them, and will kill innocent people just in order to help further the career of those they represent. Anyways, Melody, I feel for you, your son was shot, and now you, and very senselessley, I can understand why you were angry enough to say what you said, but even you in your anger should know that this would not solve anything, more murder, begets more murder. I hope for a speedy recovery for you, and say that you should coun't your blessings, because any man willing to kill for a car while shooting you and the car, is not a real man, and values no life, so be thankful that you got away. I just want to say to those who vow to stay away from Jamaica because of the violence, be soo glad that there is no other place in the world with murders or violence except Jamaica. Be glad that senseless killings, robberies, and so on don't go on in the USA or England, or wherever other Jamaicans have gone to, to escape from the problems of YAHD! Since ya'll know I"m being sarcastic, please understand, that pointing fingers don't bring about change, helping does. I will continue to return to Jamaica, and help the less fortunate, and educate those who I can to help them better thier lives, this in turn will make change in Jamaica, not pointing fingers and abandoning our beautiful homeland. When my money is fully stacked, I will go back to live, and give every dime that I can to the betterment of my country, because if Americans will go to Iraq and die for thier country, then we as Jamaicans, must can go back to at least do something simple as helping someone who is down, in our country.
