Dancehall artiste Kiprich - "I wasn't scared"
 Kiprich has always had a talent of being entertaining as he used poems that rhymed to put a smile on the face of the persons around him. He applied this talent to songwriting and now 7 years later, he has made a name for himself.
"When I say, yea, me a go do this music thing, I Kiprich wasn't scared. I knew I had the talent because people have always told me that I did. And as long as you can write, you nuh have nothing fi worry bout," commented a rather confident Kiprich. "I get inspired to write songs from anything. You drive down the road and see something happen or you sit down and create something in your mind, y'know, something people can relate to.
He admits that all that glitters isn't gold as what you see outside the industry, isn't all it's cracked up to be. "The friend aspect of the business isn't easy. You can’t depend on nobody. But it's my job and so I have to do it. You see when you go to school, the industry look like a different thing, but once you get involved, you realize there are a lot of sleepless nights, stress and so on. You have to be lyrically-inclined and on top of your game. You have to go out and seek out what the people want to hear. You have to keep going and keep working," Kiprich commented passionately.
When asked who he would compare himself with in the music industry he smiled and answered, "Me never think 'bout that. But I admire Beenie Man for his entertaining vibe. He believes that Mavado and Spice are artistes that will last in this industry. "Mavado can sing with melody even though he's doing it with a gangsta style and that's working for him now. But him might change down the road. And then Spice is an entertainer and she can do her thing."
Kiprich has recently shot a new music video for Joy Grind which features Delicious. Joy Grind was produced by Robert Livingston of Big Yard and the music video was directed by Julia Braham. It was shot on location in Hope Pastures and Manning's Hill Road.
He wants aspiring artistes to know that it's a lot of work. It's very competitive so have to keep focus and work hard. Believe in your product. Learn to write songs that makes sense. Put God first and remain violent free."
Kiprich wants, in another 5 years, to have more hit songs and albums. He hopes that he'll reach the other side of the industry and have some "red necks and Spanish people" vibing his music. And to his fans, he says, "I love and appreciate you all. I know without my fans I would be nothing. I appreciate you all for taking the time out to listen. Respect to all of you, near and far!"

to rate a particular artist yuh nuh have to have talent or not, it depends on your taste and what touch you spiritually. i for one rate beenie to the fullest and eventhough bounty is without a doubt a better lyricist, i still rate beenie more because of his work ethics and entertaining vibe. in dancehall yuh dont have to make it to the top with lyrics, its all about vibing with the people and making a proper connection. ninja man nuh have nuh big tune in jamaica since the early nineties but yet him can ram a stage show because him know how to connect with the people. so kiprich, gwaan do your thing and stay positive. respect and manners
