Rhatid .... caan believe seh mi & zagga have de same thought bout dis song ... LOL!!!. Mi tink da song yah good, but nuh dat wicked. Ah because ah Buju dweet das why de response to it is much more dan what a song of dat calibre oulda normally get. But it is still a good song, one that deserve ah 1 to 3 weeks at #1 pon de charts due to de hype, but dats about it. Anything Buju duh will get ah good receptance because 1) him ah good DJ, 2) most peeps respect him cause him sacrifice him career ovah dat ba**yman ting 3) there is no real negativity surroundig him.

Trecia,
Yuh probably ah one likke child weh jus stawt lissen reggae/dancehall. All Buju needed to say was dat him song not meant to be taken literally, jus figuratively. Him choose anedda way out, thereby denying himself impending success dat was waiting fi him. Him is a musican, not a Gay Opponent Spokesperson, soh to mi ah music come first. In dat sense, HIM SACRIFICE HIM CAREER. Weh yuh get your story bout dem seh Bob sacrifice him career ? Who is dem ? Stap mek up shit !!!
Facts Ovah Fiction ...
Buju (& not Beenie) was poised to be the DJ loved by foreigners, until de battyman dem stawt mess wid him. Buju USED to overflow Concert Halls everyweh him goh ! Eena 1992, Buju's debut album "Mr. Mention" bruk all sales records eena JA, and dat album give him more number one singles dan any ada Reggae artist, including Bob Marley. At just 21 years old, Buju's 1993-release Voice of Jamaica (Mercury) wid tracks like 'Operation Ardent', 'Deportee' and the safe sex anthem 'Willy Don't Be Silly', was lauded for the unprecedented social commentary it brought to the dancehall. Buju Banton, was de first dancehall deejay to "SELLOUT" New York City's 5600 seat Paramount Theater. Not him & other artiste, jus him alone. Those facts are from 14 years ago. Now you tell me again, Buju's career "JUS A TEK OFF" ??? Yuh a joka. A rap music yuh did ah lissen tuh all dese years ? Ah when yuh stawt lissen reggae/dancehall.
Now yuh gimmie some facts weh show seh him career jus a tek off.
btw : Mi nuh own nuh Shaggy CD soh mi nuh know if it or dem tiad. How yuh know seh Shaggy CDs tiad ? Ah Shaggy yuh a lissen to all dese years mek yuh nuh know nutten bout Buju.

BAD MIND Major T,
Like I said stop snorting for just one minute... Buju is BIGGER than EVER... and like the driver in his songs he won't be stopping at ALL!
And yes they said the wailers should have stuck to singing love songs an dat dem sacrifice dem career... move an guh weh with your negative vibes... and stop HATIN... and guh ride yuh man...
and by the way you must have missed the last press release but Buju's spokesperson said that the song SHOULD not be taken literally... like who NEVA already know DAT!

Batty Bwai Major T:
Yuh wah one bullet inna yuh head back fi yu foolish talk.
Don't take the above sentence literally I was only expressing my strong disagreement with your obviously biased opinion.
If Buju had sacrificed his career we would not be having this exchange over the internet about his career and he would be an anonymoous ass like you.
You may respond until Jesus comes back to the earth I will no longer dignify your asanine remarks with a comment.

Whe badmind cumm eena dis ? Having an opinion nuh mean seh a person badmind. Ongle dark minded ignorant fools would associate de two.
FACT IS FACT. Him nuh bigga dan eva. Him concerts sell, but nuh like how dem did ah sell back den. Who knows, him mite goh furda cause internationally, him deh pon ah comeback, but yuh probably know dat ahready, but jus a try cause some friction. Well, it tek more dan intanet words fi duh mi harm. "Sacrifice" nuh mean seh him & him career dead, jus mean seh it did deh pon a go slow because a de battyman ting.
As for the "Press Conference" yuh mentioned, sometimes it's best that certain things be said directly by the parties involved. Furdamore, since yuh nevah come back wid nuh FACTS fi dispute him earlier successes, yes, dis conversation is ovah. Goh back goh lissen yuh Matisyahu CD's dem .. ah fi him career jus ah "TEK OFF".
DARK-MINDED IGNORANT FOOL.
