Shottas premiere - November 3rd in the United States
On Wednesday night, at an undisclosed location on Miami Beach, R & B star Monica (a Scorpio) will be hosting the 'Shottas' event with special guest appearances by Kymani, Stephen and Damian Marley, Rik Ross, DJ Khalid, Fat Joe, Trina, Trick Daddy, Paul Campbell, Lennox Lewis, Spragga Benz, Falam Remi, Inner Circle and many more.
"It's a red carpet affair. It's going to be a VIP event, lots of celebrities. 'Shottas' will open the floodgates for Caribbean film industry," director Cess Silvera told YardFlex.com managing director Debbie Cole this morning.
There will be large screen televisions at the location showing the trailer of "Shottas". The movie itself an unapologetic raw urban drama that deals with life in the ghettoes of Jamaica. Recently, the film was done over after it was bootlegged and released to the public.
The story revolves around Biggs & Wayne, poverty stricken Jamaican youths who want the gangster lifestyle, and what the consequences are of their actions.
The official release of 'Shottas' will be this Friday, November 3rd at selected cinemas in the United States. Two of those cinemas are Cobb Grand Theatre, 17355 North West 59th Avenue, Miami Lake, Miami, and the other is the Marcus Chathal Cinema in Chicago.
The South Florida YardFlex team will be posting all the cinemas where Shottas will be seen. And we will definitely be at the event on Wednesday night. Everybody wants to go, our phones have been ringing off the hook, but we are keeping the location on the hush-hush and on the QT.
