Jamaica's ghetto superstar, Cham, is setting the trend for Dancehall entertainers this year. After releasing Ghetto Story earlier this year to local acclaim, he remixed it for the international listeners. Alicia Keys contacted Cham's management and thus Ghetto Story, Chapter 2 was born.
BET is hosting its first ever Hip Hop Awards show at Atlanta's Fox Theatre on Sunday, November 12, which airs Wednesday, November 15 on BET. Cham is up for 2 awards for his single, Ghetto Story, Chapter 2, which features Alicia Keys: Best Collaboration (Touch It Remix, Ridin', Grillz and Shoulder Lean) and Rookie of the Year (Chamillionaire, Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross and Yung Joc).
Several music video directors of Dancehall songs have also been nominated such as Little X [Give It Up To Me and Temperature (Sean Paul), Girls (Beenie Man), Wild 2Nite (Shaggy)] and Sanaa Hamri [Ghetto Story Chapter 2 (Cham)].
