One Third is this year's Rising Stars 2006 winner.

Thousands of persons converged on Mas Camp last night to witness the spectacle of this year's final event. On a night defined by emotional highs, three was a recurring decimal throughout the festivities. After all, it was the third year of an event, which is adjudicated by three celebrity judges, and this year, there were three winners, all three of whom were men. All three winners in the competition have thus far been male.
One Third, which is managed by former ARP manager Ray Alexander, and who the achingly beautiful Denise Hunt joked used "the most peroxide in the competition" were elated with the victory. Nickiesha Barnes was gracious in defeat, and was perhaps the contestant who arguably had grown the most during the contest, rising from obscurity to stardom to within kissing distance of the title.
 During Noddy Virtue's soul-searing rendition of 'Rebel In Me', a woman fainted, and someone placed her sneaker over her mouth to revive her. Later, anothe woman fainted in the middle of the night.
Christopher Martin, who had been steamrolled earlier in the day by a Weekend Star story that berated him for his poor rendition of the national anthem last Sunday, was in sparkling form, reeling off songs such as 'Longing For' and 'Born By the River'. However, some disgruntled nitwit later shouted: "since you so bad, sing the national anthem', to which people sniggered.
Other performers included Candi, Diana Rutherford, Suzanne Perkins, Renee and Natel.
The event was largely incident free.

Congratulations to my boys! Al, Miguel and Adrian.
I am so happy for you guys. You really deserve it, if you guys didn't win you would have to refund all my money that i spent on you. I have been voting for you from the audition and i really love you guys. I love how you guys can dress. Don't feel anyway Al and Miguel but Adrian has all my heart but you broke it when you sent big up to your baby mother but its all good we can share. I love you Adrian keep sweet. i am so happy One Third won. they deserved it. ups to them for their hard work, it showed. i wish they had a record out i would buy it today. love them much.
to the ppl hating on chris martin. the biggest singers and stars forget their national anthem all over the world. its a brain thing that occurs during such patriotic performances. tthats why every other country has a teleprompter to assist the singers. the reggae boyz managers are just making a stink about it cause they stink.
noddy virtrue was awesome.

I knew 1/3 was gonna win, so that was no surprise. I was just overly excited and happy for you guyz wen I heard the announcement & also happy that my credit was not wasted (lol). Al, Adrian & Miguel jus wanna let u guyz know that I enjoyed every single one of your performances & I wish u all d best en el futuro. It's glad to see that y'all were adequately rewarded for all your hardwork & committment. I'll continue to support you, nuff luv alwayz. congrats 2 1/3, but personally,i don't think that they shd hv 1! my reason for saying that is - it's one of nickeisha & three of them, when singled out, i don,t think they can sing. yes, i agree that they can harmonise and they have style. nickeisha stands alone and she stands out - she has flava, style harmony tha works!! i just think that nicky should hv won! sorry

big up ONE THIRD you guys are the real thing. You did your best and you guys really deserve to win the title. Nicky B needs some more practice and she must consider herself lucky to be placed second that Suzanne's place
I just hope One Third don't just become a' fly by night' group like ARP.I hope they become one of the fully established groups for at least the next thirteen (13)years.kudos to them.
I'm so proud of One Third cuz they are my fans, they sang so sizzling. I liked most of famous rising star deejay Candy, I was so zealous to watch yu on tv at Mas Camp, you look so sexy last friday...

You guys were such a treat, I would look forward to your performances every week because I knew you would deliver. Love u much ALPHEUS, Adrian & Miguel. Unoo MAD, unnoo BAD, unnoo SOLD OUT, unnoo GONE A LEAD. Too bad the politician who did all the campaigning with the motorcade & surpize artists didn't win. The people dem tek the credit call dem boyfriend & girlfriend & vote 4 1/3.
Suzanne Big up yuhself, you are truly a rising star. I can just imagine when your voice matures with age. Because as a 16 yr old your vocal effeciency far supercedes that of the 25 yr old Nickiesha.

What a big let down one third is after all the money i spend on them to put them where they are now. Al to the exact, imagine i went to Jakes on sunday 15 october to see for the first time the group which has cost me for over six months and i was standing at the extreme front just to touch the guys and Alpheus didn't bother to touch me i am so mad until this very day. i have hoarse throat and pain a neck to scream for them and Al a hype paw mi after all i did for him. If i did once had the slightest idea that you was the hype type i wouldn't waste my credit on you. Al yu let mi down big time i don't think i'll ever get over this. I curse all the way home on sunday night. I dont even know these guys and i use my credit to put you were you are and this is the thanks i get.I will never vote for another rising stars ever again. adrian your hands feel soft and smooth i wish i was still holding them or even doing more than just holding your hands. miguel i notice that your the down to earth one and i like that about you and your hands feel sweet as well. Al remember that you guys are the one that sing "no amount of money caw change man" but i guess you were singing but didnt mean it. you look like you getting hype like one rising star from St.Elizabeth who came second last year him too did say money caw change him but it did. Al a hope you will forever have money and continue to hype.I stretch out my hands to you Al all night and you stand in front of me like you nice. If i did ever catch you after that i pull you off the stage. If i did ever catch you when you run off the stage you would have to refund all my money. Nickiesha i must b honest u managed ur songs well but u werent among my favourites cuz i think u r stil upset to the fact that u didnt win n hyping on it .Natel keep tryin i believe that in the end u will succeed. and of course the best for last my boys ONE THIRD.Al,Adrian and Miguel what can i say u guys just rock. Must say you guys did Digicel and Jamaica proud. Big up 1/3 for winning even though I backed Suzanne. Nicky don't worry we all know you can sing as well so big up for doing your best. You have a bright future ahead of you.
Suzanne I hope you did well in your studies, and will not give up on the music. For a 16 year old you did well, and I am glad you proved Anthony Miller wrong.
