Singing Melody's son got shot - bullet lodged in his head
YardFlex.com would like to extend its regrets to the family of Singing Melody who are going through a rough time now, dealing with a tragedy in the family. According to news reports, Singing Melody's 17 year-old son Kemar was shot in the back by armed gunmen in the Waltham Park area on the Sunday before Independence.
One of the shots hit him in the back, the shot traveled up his spinal column through his neck, and lodged in his head, and the warhead is still lodged at the back of his right eye as doctors are reluctant to move it because of the delicate spot it is located. Kemar, a St. Catherine High school grad, cannot see out of his right eye, but doctors say his youth may expedite the healing process. Our prayers are with him and his family in this dark time.
"It happened fast, I never expected it to happen. My mother had just come from foreign and was staying on the Waltham, I had gone to look for her and was outside a bar, talking to my friend when a man came up to us and asked us for a man. The man asked how we so bummy, and den him walk off. Same time, my friend run off, and then me start
run, and the man turn and start fire offa me, one shot go through mi hand, the other one go in my back, travel up mi spinal column and
lodge inna mi head, right behind my eye," Kemar told YardFlex.com.
"The bullet never touch my spinal column, the doctors say they don't know how I am still alive, just looking at the damage, and where the bullet go. Lucky some soldiers were on the road and heard the shot, and fire back at him, and him run off into the Chinese
cemetery," he said.
"They thought I was dead, the soldiers put yellow tape around me, until me move one of my foot, and the soldier use his gun to turn me over, and my cousinstart bawl, and dem put me in a jeep and tell me don't close my eyes and dem carry me to the KPH."
Kemar is now convalescing at home, having graduated from St. Catherine High last term. He cannot see out of his right eye, and last weekend, he had been complaining about redness in his left eye.
"The doctors say they don't want to trouble the bullet because it might cause more damage. I went to the doctors a few days ago, and they gave me some medication for the redness in my eye. I am just giving thanks that I am alive, every morning, I thank God to
be alive. The doctors said that nature is on my side because I am still young, my sight can come back with me. My father (Singing Melody) tek it hard, and my mother too. It just rough all around," Kemar said.

Good that little boy is still alive. Boy we need to find a way to retrieve all the guns. I totally hate gunmanship, I believe the government should just pack those with illegal guns and send them to iraq make terrorist bomb up them r.ss. Dem a gwaan too bad and just thing dem can take the law inna dem own hands. Old nasty crosses dem.

The whole world is in pain because of the Gun powder. If the second amendment is outlawed in the states banning arms from civilian possesion, maybe this will have a trickle down effect and no guns can find dem way pon di black market. what can we do?????????????????????????

Jah know me feel it fi di yute. Wata come a mi eye. Why dem man yah suh heartless?
It is very sad to hear of shootings wherever they may take place. A young 15 year old has been killed by accident in the UK and the Manchester black commmunity are vexed because they are plagued with shootings. At the same time, young white British soldiers are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan by suicide bombings.
On a positive note, it is pleasant to hear that Singing Melody's son, Kemar has survived the traumatic experience of being shot. I hope he regains his sight and can lead a full normal life. Jehovah God will soon bring an end to this wicked system but in the meantime we pray for all races of people because we are living in Satan's system but this evil system will COME TO AN END. (Matthew 24:3-6)
GOD BLESS Kemar and his family and all righteous persons!!

It is really sad that ja is gone to the dog, i know it must be hard for singing melody and the family but just know that God is on your side. Kemar i wish you all the best with regaining your sight and leading a normal life. There must be a way to get Kemar to the U.S to get the surgery he needs to get his sight back, well all i can say is the wicked will perish because God is not mocked and he is sure not sleeping. So stay strong, and my heart goes out to Kemar, singing melody and their family, stay strong.

The power that made Kemar survive the shootong is the same power that is going to save his life and sight. Singing Melody and family needs to focus on more on the creater at this time than any other time. I can not imargin what Kemar's father is going through.

I'm so mad I can't even think... when gunmen start targeting women and children you know they have graduated from gunmen to terrorists.. if this trend continues, Jamaica will be no different from the Middle East and all those far places where we hear of the atrocities being committed and we wonder how people could be so cruel.. very soon we will no longer have to worry, cause it is right on our doorsteps.. the death penalty should be reinstated... these gunmen have no damn constitutional rights if they decide to take someone's right to life. My prayers are with Kemar and his family, I hope the doctors are right and you recover from this terrible ordeal both physically and psychologically.
