Joseph 'Culture' Hill concert set for Friday at Ranny Williams Centre

culture.jpgThe Joseph 'Culture' Hill concert, billed 'A night of Strictly Culture' will be held on Friday, September 8, at 6:00pm, at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, Hope Road.

The concert will be free to the public and will see performances by Luciano, Anthony B, Bob Andy, Big Youth, U Roy, Jimmy Riley, George Nooks, Tony Rebel, Dean Fraser, Tamlins, Leroy Sibbles, Richie Spice, Carlene Davis, Taurus Riley, Jose Wales, Natty King, Cherry Natural, Lovindeer, Prodigal, Junior Kelly, Bunny Brown, Nadine Sutherland, Bengy Meyaz, Trinity, Kamau, Sly Dunbar, Peter Lloyd, Lloyd Parkes, Gulli Banque, Limey, Boscom X, Mystic Revealers, Grace Thrillers, Pam Hall, Charlie Chaplin, Mighty Diamonds, Toots, Queen Ifrica, Luthan Fya, Bankie Bax, Wasp, Geovani, Etana, Katalyst Crew, Chuck Fender, Grace Thrillers and more. MCs will be Tommy Cowan, Mutabaruka and Denise Miller.

On Saturday, Sept 9, at 12:00 noon, there will be a church service at the Emmanuel Apostolic Church, 12 Slipe Road in Kingston. Viewing will take place between 9:00am - 12:00 noon and interment will be at

Dovecot Memorial Park.

The funeral procession will then travel to Dovecot through Slipe Road up through Cross Roads, left on Balmoral, right on Maxfield, left on to Molynes Road and left on the Boulevard through to Spanish Town bypass and on to Dovecot.

A great man with a mighty voice. His legend will go on. I take the opportunity once again to express my condolences to his immediate family and close friends. Jamaicans should not forget a great icon like Joseph Hill with so many great hits. May he rest in peace.

This man has some great hits. His place in reagge could never be taken. Joseph Hill will always be remembered.
