Sorry to hear the bad news. This is the kind of thing that happens in Jamaica everyday and it seems as if there's nothing being done about it. What Jamaica needs is a new government, one that actually cares about the people and will make an effort to make Jamaica a better place for all of us-- whether you live at home or abroad. I'm very disturbed at how Jamaica is being written about. Yes it's very sad and disturbing what has happend to his mother, and God will punish them, but to blame Jamaica as a whole is wrong. I come from Trelawny, country, and I love it. Very rarely where I'm from has any violent crimes. Everyone knows everyone, so that helps there to be more peace and harmony. I'm there constantly, and when I come into enough money I would move back to Jamaica in a heartbeat. It makes no sense to sit and criticize Jamaica and it's people when other countries including the USA have major crime issues as well. Women, children, even babies are murdered in the USA every day, it only reflects more on Jamaica being that we are a small island. I'm in Atlanta, and just a couple months ago, I heard on the news about a 2 year old child being shot in the behind, and the other day robbers broke into a house and shot a 9 year old child. My point is, don't criticize all in Jamaica for a few peoples crimes, Jamaica is a wonderful island with a population of almost 3 million, and many of them are good honest tax paying people. If you really want to help Jamaica don't point fingers and say who and who needs to help, go there and do something yourself to help the people and our beautiful country.
