Shottas! - Biggest Bootlegg Movie Hits The Big Screen

shottas.jpgNEW YORK
It's Official. The biggest bootlegg movie of all times, hits the big screen on September 15th, 2006!

The movie that has been nicknamed, The Jamaican Scarface, Shottas will make it's theatrical debut across the United States late summer.

Distributed by Sony/Screen Gems, the official release of one of the most popular movies ever with an allstar caribbean cast, is sure to become a box office hit.

Shottas Part 1 hits the big time!

Cess Silvera, the writer, director, and producer of Shottas, is confident and proud of the finished masterpiece. "Shottas has been re-edited, and Stephen Marley has redone the music score. The movie is in new form. You've never seen Shottas like this before. Clarity, surround sound, quality, and you do not want to miss the opening three minutes. It's ridiculously sick. Shilo, I can't even disclose the opening scene to you. Everyone just have to get to the theatre early."

Shottas has inspired movies such as 'City Of God', and is now officially the biggest ever bootlegg movie to date. According to Cess, 'we have to prove to the industry, to Hollywood, that our movies can sell. The bootleggers owe us,' Cess remarked laughing. 'You all have one or two bootlegg copies. It's payback time now.'

Everyone is asking about Shottas part two.

Well, the wait will soon be over, but we must do our part to support our own. The filming of part two takes place in October 2006, and is slated for an early 2007 release.

However, to ensure the success of part two, we all have to come together and support part one. Please don't sit and wait for the bootleggers to get out of control...and please, don't wait until the 'next' week because you didn't have the time. Make the time. Our culture depends on this.

The weekend of September 15th, we have to all flood every theatre across the United States showing Shottas. First weekend sales count for everything.

If you feel there is something you can do to make a box office record a reality, please contact me at msshilo@gmail.com.

Shottas stars, Ky-Mani Marley, Spragga Benz, Paul Campbell, Louie Rankin & Wyclef John.

I had given "Shottas" the name Jamaican scare face and not to mention "The harder they come" too.
I loved this movie, it was will written and the language was very authentic to the culture. fabulous movie from begining to end. trus mi, Louie Rankin deserves a Bloodcl@@t Oscar and he plays "badman" very well. Action packed, Hilarious, and straight yardstyle! Big-up Yardflex for keepin' Yardies abreast!

Love that no doubt
who can tell me who produced those music tracks
of shottas

Posted by: will on March 15, 2007 12:29 PM

Wyclef should have added a little more to the script, but not bad. Real Jamaicans like me love to see Islanders come together, but should show a little more of their culture when playing a parts like that.

Excellent, I enjoyed this movie, purchased it and will see it on the silver screen as with part II when it airs. One thing, when will the soundtrack be available I want to buy that too. Again love it, love it, love it.

seriously, does anyone else think this movie really sucked? just a half assed scarface rip off

Posted by: jake on May 15, 2007 09:21 PM

ya'll should put Ratty from third world in the movie FIRST I WOULD MAKE A SOUNDTRACK BUT YOU MUST INCLUDE THE SONG THAT WYCLEF HAD SING AT THE END OF THE BOOTLEG VERSION WHEN BIGGS SHOT TEDDY BRUCK SHOT. AND IS THAT WYCLEF SINGING THAT SONG OR IS IT INNER CIRCLE. ONE THING FOR SURE I NEED THAT SONG AND THE RAIN SONG BY KYENIE. AND YALL NEED 2 MAKE SURE YALL MAKE A SOUNDTRACK WITH THESE SONGS I NAME AND MORE WRITE ME TO LET ME KNOW SOMETHING

Frock all you people that didnt like Shottas... that was better then scarface.... Scarface got old after i watched it like twice... this movie was action packed... Guns, Knives, Killings, Drug dealling, pu**y, and Respect... Spraga Benz was a frockin hard a** in this movie... Wyclef jean S**ked at acting tho... he over did his part by FAR... especially when he was otu front the liquire store when wayne came threw there tryin to get a peice of his pie... I AINT GOT NOTHIN FOR YOU... WHAAAT?!? frock that sh*t.. .that was the fishiest sh*t i have ever heard... he looked like a broke pimp in a leasure suit... the only problem with this movie was the editing on the part where wyclef was driving that yellow lambo... THat was SOOOO GREEN SCEENED... it looked stupid as frock... My opinion states that Wyclef jean should never be in any type of gangster flick again... i think he should be in movies where people smoke ganja... hes too calm to be a G
