Jovi Rockwell is slated for three big dates abroad. She departs Jamaica on July 12th to Belgium for the Mystic Urchin Tour where she will perform with Transdub Massive at the Dour Festival, which also headlines top acts such as Sean Paul, Sizzla and Elephant Man. Jovi then hops over to Amsterdam for 'Two Sevens Splash' festival on July 16th, before returning home for her anticipated first appearance at Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest on Friday July 21st in Montego Bay. On Sunday, September 3rd Jovi heads off to New York for her second performance at North Americas Premier reggae festival, Irie Jamboree.
Jovi recently performed at the Reebok Grand Prix athletic event at Ichan Stadium, New York on June 3rd, modelled for Cooyah Roots Wear at Caribbean Fashion Week/ CFW on June 9th, and also performed at CFW's Rock The Runway on June 13th.
June 30th was another important date for the 'rebel love goddess' as she proved to students at Glenmuir High School's in Clarendon that her new found fame was built on substance not hype by delivering a spirited set at their Summer Splash 2k6.
It has been a whirlwind past few weeks with many high profile appearances but she is up to the task.
Jovi's music video "All About Love" is currently receiving great rotation on local TV stations in Jamaica such as Hype TV and RETV and
has been in the top 5 for CVM TV's Hit List charts for the past 3 weeks.
On the radio front DJ Sunshine of Irie FM has definately been feeling Jovi's feeling the clubbanger "Rizzla",
while the hot combination with Mr. Vegas on the classic "Your Gonna Need Me" is the New York's favorite.
