Finally. The date for perhaps the celebrity wedding of the year between dancehall maestro Beenie Man and model-turned deejay D'Angel will be on August 22nd this year -- a date that bears added significance since it coincides with Beenie Man's birthday.
"We're going to get married on August 22nd, but we're not ready to disclose the location yet because we don't want too many people showing up un-announced, or un-invited at the event. It's going to be an all-white wedding and yes, celebrities will be there, maybe even some of those artistes who will be performing at Summer Sizzle which is only a few days later," D'Angel told YardFlex.Com last night.
"With the wedding being held on my birthday, this way, at least I won't forget our anniversary," Beenie Man quipped.
D'Angel is already four months pregnant with her first child, and reportedly Beenie Man's seventh.
"I really want a girl, but Moses wants a boy, but either way, I'll be happy," she mused.
The couple's relationship has ignited a firestorm of media attention given the fact that D'Angel is the ex-girlfriend of Bounty Killer, Beenie Man's arch-rival in dancehall.
"I don't wish bad things for Bounty Killer, I know he's going through a difficult time right now, but we are adults here, let's just cut out the foolishness and go on with our lives...I am very happy and I wish Killer all the best with his life," she said.
Today, Bounty Killer will be hosting his own birthday bash, 'It's A Party' at the Constant Spring football field in St. Andrew, and feature performances by the Alliance, the Killer's clique of friends and fellow deejays.
