DoctorBeenieManYardFlex.jpgBeenie Man, riding a high from the success of his latest hit single, 'Hmm Hmm', gave a typical marquis performance at the 13th annual Hot 97 Summer Jam show on Sunday night, rocking the mic to 50,000 screaming fans at the Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

"I did the old favourites like 'Zim Zimmer' and come straight up to the new hits like 'Hmm Hmm'. It was a wicked show, great performances all around from the artistes dem, the people in the crowd enjoyed themselves," Beenie Man told YardFlex.Com yesterday.

The irrepressibly catchy and sensual "Hmm Hmm" is is busy making its way up the Billboard R&B Hip Hop Singles & Tracks chart, while teh big hit, 'We Set the Trend' was knocked off the top of the New York reggae charts by Sean Paul's 'Temperature' just this week.
Artistes like Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, Busta Rhymes, Sean Paul, Chris Brown, Mobb Deep, Three 6 Mafia, the Dipset camp and T.I also performed at the New York City radio station's show which it hosts annually.

Over the years Hot 97's Summer Jam has had legendary moments such as Jay-Z announcing his planned "Takeover" on Nas and 50 Cent's verbal assault on Queens' nemesis Ja Rule. Past Summer Jam performers include the likes of Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Diddy, Eminem and our own Elephant Man.
