Japan Splash Was Great!

japansplash.jpgThe shows were great, each of the artistes, Marcia Griffiths,Junior Kelly andthe 'Cool Ruler' Mr. Gregory Isaacs along with the Live Wyya Band did Jamaica and Reggae Music proud at the 2006 staging of the Spring version of Reggae Japansplash.

Two (2) shows were held in Tokyo at a venue name East Coast
March 18 and 19 and one (1) show was held in Okayama. The attendance at the show in Okayama was tremendous,as it was the first time that a reggae show was held in that city and the crowd response was just great.

The shows in Tokyo were sponsored by FM Tokyo and the one in Okayama was sponsored by FM Okayama the top radio stations in each city.
The organisers were very happy and showered praises on the Jamaican contingent for their professional inputin the staging of the festivals. The festivals had a few Japanese reggae acts as openers and each act was a force to reckon with.

The Japanese acts who performed were Pushim,Lecca,Megaryu and Pang. The tour was organised by veteran tour cordinator Copeland Forbes with Ronnie Burke as the tour manager, Teddy Laidley the road manager, Mervyn Williams house engineer and Beecher Barrett the stage technician.
