Beenie, Kartel, Peppa, Nanko Gypitian For Irie Jam Radio Celebrity Soccer Match


BeenieManGyptianKartelNankoPeppaYardFlex.jpgNEW YORK: Dancehall kingpin, Beenieman - fresh from his public admission of plans to wed his lover D'Angel - is the first artist confirmed to participate in the 7th annual Irie Jam Annual Celebrity Soccer Match which takes place on Monday, May 29, 2006 at the Roy Wilkins Park in New York. Other confirmed acts include Tanto Metro & Devonte, Richie Spice, Jessie Jender, Mr. Peppa, Nanko and Gyptian.

"This is easily one of the most important events on the entertainment calendar in NY" Louie Grant, VP of Irie Jam Radio said.

"Aside from the obvious entertainment for fans, the event will be a tremendous opportunity for the artists to market themselves and the projects they are involved with as media outlets from as far as England, Canada and Jamaica will be on hand to cover the event" Grant noted.

The Celebrity match will again be hosted by Irie Jam Media of New York and Asylum Night Club of Jamaica however Jingles Entertainment of New Jersey will come board this year as co-producer of the event.

Grant, Bobby Clarke, DJ Roy, Chris Dubb Master, Andrew D, DJ 'Spread Love' Bobby, Killa Boo, Bobby Konders, Adonai, Sky Juice, Jagga B, artiste managers and various record producers are expected to suit up for the NY All-Star team.

Invitations will also be extended to Baby Cham, Elephant Man, Vybz Kartel, Richie Stevens, Cobra and Mr. Lexx to join the Artist All Star team. The last time the event was held in New York, thousands of screaming, star struck fans turned out to support their favorite celebrities. This year things should be the same as opposing teams clash on the tarmac in what promises to be a hotly contested match.

"We are only in our first week of our promotion however the phones have been ringing of the hook from patrons requesting tickets and from celebrities wanting to participate in the game" said an ecstatic Bobby Clarke, CEO of Irie Jam Media Group.
