Vybz Kartel Shoots New Videos

VybzKartel-video-carlington-yardflex.jpgSince his return to Jamaica two weeks ago, Vybz Kartel has been busy shooting a number of music videos for his ultra-popular songs. He recently shot a medley video for the single 'Oh Oh', alongside fellow Tri-State member, Bling Dawg, who did his single, 'Mr. Politician'. Both songs appear on the kicking 'Sweat' rhythm. The video was directed by hot new director, Julia Braham, who had first worked with the deejay on the 'Anger Management' medley, but has been earning major props for her creative vision.

"This is my second time working with her, and it's all good. I must admit that when she first approached me, I never believed her that she was a director, maybe because physically, she never struck me as that sort of person, and attitude-wise, I never saw her as a director, but she win me over, and mi like her work," he told YARDFLEX.

"Ah Standpipe we do everything because that sort of environment reflects the mood of the song"

The video will premiere this Saturday, February 4th, on local and cable television stations.

He will also be involved in the medley shoot of 'Dutty Landlord' for producer Clive Hunt this weekend, as well as the 'Maths and English' medley which will be shot by director Anju Val.

"I feel that Anju Val can give me the right concept for the song I have on the 'Maths and English riddim," he said.

I dont think Julia Braham makes a good do director she thinks her work is better than Nordia Rose and all the other good directors that were there before her. What she needs to do is take a page out of all those directors book to elevate and evaluate herself.... No hard feelings Julia but its the truth U are a bit too conceited regarding ur work. U need to be in the business for some time before u start to think too much of urself that way.... Ok chill......

Julia Braham is doin a wonderful work as the 'anger management' medley is one of the best medleys to date. That and the fact that she is working with one of the best that Dance Hall has to offer is a recipe for success. So mi a seh... Keep up the good work to both of dem.

On the Julia Braham story, I have to weigh in! Julia is much younger than the other directors out there and clearly she has skills or she we wouldn't be seeing her name on all the wicked videos coming out. Anger Management is just one of many. When I saw her in an interview on tv I couldn't believe she was so young and also quite creative. Julia if you read this website, don't make envious people try bring you down. Because how could someone say you were conceited if they didn't have a personal issue with you. By just watching your videos I see talent and before many out there you will be making it big internationally. Gwan my girl!

tamika its obvious that u hate this girl.u dont know what conceited mean cause if u did u would'nt say that about her. julia dont praise her work and she respect other directors work. why hate tammy? if u have personal issues with director dont hate on her work

Ok all you ladies need to stop the catfights. But truth is, Julia is a solid, up and coming director and there are things I see in her videos that show that there is a great future ahead for her. As long as she surrounds herself with positive influences. The players in the music business tend to be tough critics, so a little conceit on her part can actually be a positive thing. You have to stand up for what you believe. Despite what the detractors may say Ms. Braham, I can't change the local channels without seeing one of your well thought out videos and clearly the artistes love working with you because you are getting repeat business. You are indeed a young talent to watch, your star is definately on the rise. All the Best, Joseph S.
