Wayne Marshall Back In Town

Wayne Marshall is going to be a father soon. He is expecting a son in early September, and the expectation of this life-changing event is a catalyst that has transformed his career and his life.
"It is the hugest driving force in my life, the reason that I am pulling up my socks, ready to unleash what I really have. In the future, I don't want people to guess if Marshall was a good artiste... I want to be recognized as an established artiste, a bonafide hitmaker," Marshall told Youth Link last week.
The good news is that he may just be doing that. His latest hit single, 'Marry Wana', powered by a snazzy video, is driving the single to success in local and international markets.
"This is the first time that I have a tune that is doing well simultaneously, people in places that I have never been have called to tell me about the cleverness of the lyrics, and the concept... everything looks bigger for the future," he said.

This success did not happen overnight, but instead came from a carefully crafted strategy by Marshall, who almost a year ago, woke up to the realization that his career was not where he wanted it to be. So what did he do? He took a sabbatical.
"I took a break from consistent recording over a year ago, I just kinda picked up back with recording a few months ago. Now the things dem plant up, rising, and growing, that's why the people see a new zest, urge, inspiration, drive, everything," a bombastic Wayne Marshall said.
"I went into the lab, do research, did some reading, some history book, I read 'How to be a Father', Dan Brown's 'Da Vinci Code'... that was deep, dog, that opened my eyes to nuff little things re the Christian world, so I am energized," he said.
Other singles that have been creating a buzz in the streets include 'Happy Days' on the Don Corleone's Seasons rhythm, 'OK' on the Icebreaker rhythm from the Renaissance camp, and 'Bright and Sunny Days' with Sizzla on Don Corleone's label.
He is one of the headline acts on a huge Back to School concert in a few weeks which features Fat Joe, Machel Montana, and Mario. Wayne M. is also booked to appear on a number of shows in the Caribbean.

"Right now, Japan is requesting my presence, my largest fan base is definitely Japan, and Europe," he said.
He is currently in negotiations with what he dubbed "overseas interests’ to produce an album to be released this fall.
It appears that all systems are go for Wayne Marshall, and he even has a 'new loo' which his female fans have been raving about.
"It is not really a new look, we just find some different things all over the place, we go Italy, Sweden, we just make it diverse, we look fresh, different, clothes for every occasion, every mood," he said.
