Officers assigned to the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB) and the St Andrew North Police Division seized the motorcycles during operations conducted in the said division between Wednesday, April 24 and Wednesday, May 01.

The police said the operations were as a result of public safety issues arising from the disregard of the Road Traffic Act by some motorists, including motorcyclists.

The vehicles were seized for various offences, including not being licensed and having no registration plates affixed.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is advising all operators of motor vehicles to ensure their vehicles are registered, updated and operating within the parameters of their prescribed licenses.

Drivers are reminded that if the various operating criteria are not met, it will result in the seizure of the vehicle and the prosecution of the offender.
