Reports are that personnel from the Contraband Enforcement Team of Jamaica Customs discovered irregularities during their checks of a shipment at a warehouse in the parish and summoned the police who responded and conducted a search.

The search reportedly yielded 1,859 assorted rounds and two 50-capacity Glock magazines.

The police are now reminding members of the public that under the Get the Guns campaign, they can receive rewards of up to JMD $100, 000 for information that leads to the seizure of firearms and ammunition. Citizens are urged to call 311 to give information.
