Controversial entertainer Mr Vegas wants the man who impregnated internet sensation Mackerel, when she was 13 to be brought to justice.

The 18-year-old gained fame earlier this year after her videos about 'tekking people man' went viral, however Mr Vegas is looking on the issues at hand.

Speaking with social media on Friday, the "Heads High" deejay highlighted Mackerel's recent interview with the Entertainment Report where she revealed that she is a mother of a 5-year-old boy.

"Now do the maths, that means she got pregnant when she was 12 or 13, that means somebody molested her at that age," Vegas said. "So if this is an adult that molested this little girl, where is this person?."

"If this person is not in jail, this person is still out there and is still a predator because once a predator always a predator, so this person might be out there getting other little girls pregnant.

Mr Vegas then called out the authorities and Mackerel's parents to come together to speak about the issue and try to seek justice.

James Bond taking a Jamaica trip

The world's favourite spy, James Bond is heading back to Jamaica.

Jamaica has become synonymous with 007 as the island featured heavily in the first ever Bond film back in 1962, Dr No.

Who could forget that famous scene with actress Ursula Andress emerging from the water (now Laughing Waters) in her iconic bikini?

Jamaica was also the chief setting for the debut outing of Roger Moore in the 1973 film, Live and Let Die.

And now according to The Daily Mail in the UK, the island will feature in the newest Bond movie, Bond 25, due to be released in UK cinemas on April 8, 2020.

Jamaica is a fitting location for the 25th edition in the film series, given that it's actually Bond's birthplace. All 13 James Bond novels were written in Oracabessa, St Mary, and author Ian Fleming called Jamaica his home.

We even have a James Bond beach!

Other parts of the film are being shot in Norway and the UK, and reportedly Italy and Greece will feature too.

But the bad news is that Bond 25 will be the final film with Daniel Craig in the role of 007, his fifth in total.

The event, which will be held at the Golden Spring Community Centre in St Andrew, starting at 10:00 am, will showcase the local economic initiatives of pumpkin farmers and individuals who are involved in agro processing, using pumpkin and its derivatives, the organisers say.

This will provide these individuals with an opportunity to promote diverse pumpkin products in surrounding communities.

A major feature of the festival will be a competition among the Stony Hill community development committees, where they will vie for the awards of 'Best Pumpkin Beverage', 'Best Confectionary', 'Best Preservatives', 'Best Baked Products' and 'Best Booth'.

Agencies and organisations, such as the Rural Agricultural Development Authority, Jamaica Agricultural Society, HEART Trust/NTA, and COK Sodality Cooperative Credit Union, will also be showcasing their offerings to patrons.

us-supreme-court-upholds-same-sex-marriage-nationwide.jpgNews have emerged out of the Cayman Islands that the country's Chief Justice in a landmark ruling has made same sex marriage legal.

According to a report from the Cayman COMPASS, Chief Justice Anthony Smellie this morning ruled that the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman was unconstitutional and violated multiple rights

Smellie ordered that the local law be changed to reflect that same-sex couples are allowed equal access to marriage as heterosexual couples.

His ruling followed a petition by Caymanian Chantelle Day and her partner Vickie Bodden Bush.

Day and Bodden Bush is said to have brought a joint judicial review and constitutional challenge after the government refused the couple's application to marry in April last year.

Around 80 people were present in the courtroom for the ruling, with many applauding after the chief justice issued his ruling.

capleton-photo-1.jpgThe entertainment fraternity is even now celebrating with veteran dancehall artiste Capleton, whose rape charge was dismissed Wednesday afternoon during a committal proceeding in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court. After nearly one year of going to court and losing perhaps millions of dollars in concert earnings, not to mention the stain on his reputation, the artiste is now a free man.

His management team is in a jubilant mod as they acknowledge that the artiste has been vindicated. Capleton has always maintained his innocence and there have been charges that they police did not investigate the case properly before arresting the Rastafarian reggae artiste.

He has had several court appearance between last year May and now, and had been to court a total of three times since this year.

Each time Capleton has appeared in court, the female who has accused him of rape has never been present.

It was in May 2018 that detectives assigned to the Centre for Investigation Sexual Offence and Child Abuse (CISOCA) arrested and charged the popular 51 year old entertainer for rape.

Reports from the police are that on Saturday, April 28 at about 11:20 am, Bailey reportedly hired a female hairdresser to groom his hair at a hotel in the New Kingston area. While at the hotel, it is reported that he forcibly had sexual intercourse with the female.

The matter was reported to the police and an investigation launched. Bailey was subsequently charged after a question and answer interview was conducted in the presence of his attorney.

Since the incident, the attorney representing the international reggae artiste has refuted the claims and accused the female of trying to extort his client.

When Capleton last appeared in court, he had his bail extended and a new mention date was scheduled after the court had been told that the case file was incomplete

ruel-reid-photo-1.jpgReports are that a performance audit of the Education, Youth and Information Ministry by the Auditor General's Department (AGD) is to be completed by next month.

The scope of the audit, which can be found on the AGD's website, said it will provide an indication as to whether the selected public entities procurement and contracts management activities were conducted to attain value for money (which encompasses the achievement of economy, efficiency and effectiveness).

The audit will also seek to assess compliance with applicable procurement guidelines at the ministry.

The AGD said that in scoping the study, it has considered carefully how the audit will contribute to its wider strategic aims to promote improvements in the use of public funds through better governance and resource management.

The results of the audit will come on the heels of the resignation of Education Minister Senator Ruel Reid this morning.

JTA shocked by Ruel Reid's resignation

ruel-reid.jpgThe Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) has expressed shock at this morning's sudden resignation of Minister of Education, Youth and Information Senator Ruel Reid.

In a statement a short while ago the JTA said it is surprised by the "sudden resignation" and as a critical stakeholder it will continue to monitor the development within the ministry as "education is too important a sector to be shrouded in alleged corruption".

It added that it will remain vigilant and responsible in the best interest of the sector.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness made the announcement this morning after having met with Reid regarding what he described as "certain allegations in the public domain".

Holness said that in keeping with the principles of good governance he requested that Reid submit a resignation letter, which was subsequently received.

Reid has also resigned from the Senate.

ruel-reid-photo-2.jpgPrime Minister Andrew Holness says he asked Ruel Reid to resign to clear the way amid an investigation into allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Education Youth and Information.

In a statement, Holness said that in keeping with the principles of good governance, he requested and received Reid's resignation as Minister.

He also resigned from the Senate.

The development comes a day after The Gleaner reported that the Auditor General's Department is currently undertaking a performance audit of the ministry.

On Monday, the parliamentary Opposition revealed that it has reports of misuse of public funds and corruption at the education ministry and suggested that it was equivalent to the scandal uncovered at Petrojam, the state-owned oil refinery.

Opposition Leader Dr Peter Phillips, speaking during a post-Budget press conference, said the allegations are related directly to Caribbean Maritime University and the use of funds sent to the ministry by the HEART Trust for the Career Advancement Programme as well as the Technical, Vocational, Educational and Training (T-VET) Rationalisation Project.

Full Statement

This morning I met with Minister Ruel Reid regarding certain allegations in the public domain.

In keeping with the principles of good governance, I requested and received Minister Reid's resignation.

Minister Reid has also resigned from the Senate.

The Minister's resignation will ensure that any investigation into matters of concern will not be in any way impeded by his presence or oversight of the Ministry.

The Ministry of Education Youth and Information will now fall under the temporary supervision of the Office of the Prime Minister which will start its own review of the ministry and its agencies.

riddim-stream.pngGRAMMY Award Winning Morgan Heritage and
Multi-Award Winning Nigerian Star Patoranking

morgan-heritage-and-patoranking.jpgMorgan Heritage and Patoranking Share Behind The Scenes from "Pay Attention" Official Video

Worldwide (MPR Consulting) - As GRAMMY awards-winning siblings Morgan Heritage keep making history with remarkable various endeavors, their latest offering is a sensuous ode to the ladies featuring Multi-award winning, billboard charting Nigerian star Patoranking.

French philosopher and political activist Simone Weil was once quoted with saying "Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity", and with those wise words, Africa and Jamaica have band together and intertwined on an emotional single titled "Pay Attention". The latter is the official second single from the highly anticipated Spring 2019 new Morgan Heritage album. "We've been working on the new album for almost 2 years and since setting up our roots in Kenya, we long looked forward to filming a music video there and knew it would take place on this new album. We didn't know it would be for a song so emotional that speaks to men and women around the world, who have been through one thing or the next trying to maintain a healthy relationship. Which can easily be lost because we just simply didn't Pay Attention" Mojo Morgan explained, with Gramps Morgan chiming in "Patoranking has been an artist we've been following and have loved the progress he's made in his career over the last 5 years. So while vibing to the track, we knew Pato was the perfect fit. As the songs captures the perfect blend between dancehall music from Jamaica and the Afro-beat sounds from Africa taking the world by storm."

It was an all around labor of love for all the artists involved who have each in their own right gained worldwide success on their own merit, and to unite on the track was a humble experience, "It's truly an honor when we can work with our peers in the music industry around the world and see their professionally first hand. Though he has become a giant of an artist in Nigeria, Pato is extremely humble and while filming the video in Nairobi, Kenya it would seem like we knew each other for years by the way we clicked. We are looking forward to sharing more music from our new album coming later this Spring and hope the world will love the musical journey we will be taking our fans on. Jah Bless!" - Peetah Morgan

"Sometimes we don't pay attention, To the little things that matter, And it's not that complicated.. Never really takes much to make things better.." Those sentimental lyrics from the passionate track have been paired with a catchy fused melody of Reggae/Dancehall and Afrobeat, and breathtaking visuals that have delivered a video to be released on March 20th, 2019.

Filmed in Nairobi and Masai Mara, Kenya, the video is giving viewers an insight into Brand Kenya and the Nairobi Experience. Directed by Jordan Hoechlin & Mojo Morgan with production for the video made possible by made possible by CTBC Music Group, Island Vibes Coconut Rum, Bonfire Adventures, Onyx Lounge, Tribe Hotel, Eden Mara Camp, Village Market, Mario Tours and Roya Entertainment, "Pay Attention" featured four elegant timeless beautiful models provided by an agency owned by supermodel by Ajuma Nasenyana.

bujus-son-markus-asks-for-prayers-poses-with-his-father.jpgThings took a turn for the better in the Markus Myrie Buju Banton drama on Monday evening, when Markus uploaded a picture of himself and his father to his Insta Story and wrote an apology/explanation, in it telling the world that he loves his father and acknowledging his errors.

Markus, who had filed a report to the police last week, indicating that his father had assaulted him, has humbled himself and admitted that his actions were wrong. But he also noted that "when you love somebody, you tell them the truth regardless of the repercussion, for example, this ridiculous altercation."

"Your absence had nothing to do with prison and you know that," he declared in one of his posts.

"Many of you think you know the situation, but remember that he is my father, he is not yours. I ask you all to please keep the family in your prayers, as I will. I love you @bujuofficial."

Oh what a party when Kartel is released

vybz-kartel-photo-32.jpgIt's been four days since Vybz Kartel made a post on social media. Hopefully, the self-proclaimed Worl Boss is just chilling out and is not sick.

Therefore, that means that he has not said anything about the Buju Long Walk To Freedom concert. It would be interesting to hear what he has to say.

But despite the success of that event, many are waiting on another concert. The freedom party which will be held when Addi is finally released from prison.

Actually, some feel that Gaza Nation alone can fill the stadium and it will not be so difficult for press people to get their accreditation and all else that they need to cover the event.

Jamaican Jordan Scott of the University of Virginia continued his outstanding season after winning the men's triple jump at the NCAA Division One indoors national championships, setting a facility record 16.89m at the Birmingham CrossPlex recently.

The former Campion College athlete was the only one of the 13 Jamaicans in the meet to win an individual event as Texas Tech's Odaine Lewis finished second with 16.65m to make it a Jamaican first and second in the hop, step and jump.

Scott, who is in his third year at Virginia, is on a roll after setting school records in both the long and triple jumps earlier this season after breaking the outdoors triple jump record last year.

He set another school first on Saturday, recording the first NCAA indoor field championship for the Virginia men's track and field team in school history and was the "first Cavalier to win an NCAA indoor title since Henry Wynne's mile victory in 2016 and is the first ACC male competitor to win the indoor national title in the triple jump", according to the school's website.

Scott represented Jamaica at the IAAF World Under-20 championships in Poland in 2016 and made his first national senior team last year.

Still using scandal bags? You could be fined

plastic-bags.jpgSome persons are ignoring the plastic bag ban implemented by the government three months ago, which seeks to eliminate the use of single use plastic bags. This is supposedly an environmentally friendly move, but, the truth is that most persons were just not prepared for it.

As the ban takes effect, some retainers are crying for loss of sale, as persons who come to purchase food items either buy less or not at all.

The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is warning that the time for allowances has expired and is not taking any excuses, they are out to prosecute those offenders.

Chief executive officer of NEPA Peter Knight emphasises that people and entities which continue to use the banned bags are in breach of the Trade Act and the Natural Resources and Conservation Authority (NRCA) Act.

The ban prohibits the importation, manufacture and distribution of all single-use plastic carrier bags of 24 inches by 24 inches and below. This includes bags commonly called scandal bags, mainly used in the retail and wholesale sectors.

The ban also extends to plastic drinking straws and expanded polystyrene foam, commonly referred to as Styrofoam™.

Knight says NEPA will have to determine the source of the plastic bags which are still in use by some vendors and retailers. "The vendors I don't think are importers of plastic bags, so is there an illegal operation going on where bags are getting to vendors, and that we will have to investigate," he stated.

Police awaiting medical report from Markus

Webmin

police-station.jpgThe police say that although Markus Myrie, the son of Mark "Buju Banton" Myrie, has filed a report against his father alleging that he was assaulted, they cannot moved on the case until they receive an official medical report.

Persons have been saying that the police are ignoring the report because of who Buju is and what he represents.

"The police man dem nah go lock up Buju. Buju too big fi that. All dem want a couple VIP ticket to di concert," was the sentiment expressed by many persons who are ignorant of the law

This is standard procedure and has nothing to do with the accused, the police say in their defence.

Even though the report has been filed, there are procedural things that have to be done. His son, who said he was assaulted, was sent to seek medical attention. That part has to be satisfied. He has not returned yet," Leighton Gray, superintendent in charge of the St Andrew North Police is quoted as saying.

buju-banton-photo-10.jpgThe Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) of the Jamaica COnstabulary Force, is reporting that Markus Myrie, the producer son of Buju Banton filed a police report on the March 14, alleging that he was assaulted by his father. The police report say that Markuswas called to a meeting by his father, which was also attended by two other persons. There is lots of speculation now concerning who, exactly, those persons were and what was the nature of the meeting. Names have been called, but so far, the identities of the persons have not been revealed.

The police report further states that Buju Banton allegedly grabbed his son by the throat, before punching him in the mouth. He then pushed him against a wall, where he continued squeezing his throat.

Markus had promised to report his father following the confrontation, which led to him taking out his frustrations on Instagram last week Thursday night. In the now-deleted posts, Markus called his father a coke-head, a b@$$yman and said that Buju should be sent back to prison.

Buju has not responded, just like how Tony Rebel did not respond when his daughtrer Davianah used social media to lash out at him in the most savage way.

buju-banton-son-markus-run-all-who-use-to-deal-with-him-because-of-his-father-photo-1.pngTwo days before his father's highly anticipated Long Walk To Freedom concert at the national arena in Kingston, Jamaica, Markus, the son of Buju banton, has spewed venom at his parent.

Unconfirmed reports are that prior to his return to Jamaica in December, Buju Banton had given instructions that his studio off Red Hills Road should be cleaned out in preparation for him. Markus has been doing all of his musical productions at the studio, under his own label, rather than his father's Gargaamel Records label.

Markus has attracted a lot of attention for his productions, with many of the leading names in dancehall, choosing to record for him.

It is still not clear exactly what caused this falling out between Buju and his son, but there is much speculation. Some reports are that there was a discrepancy about tickets for the show on Saturday and that Buju hit his son.

That, however, was the straw that broke the camel's back. Markus then went on social media and let loose.

He posted the word "Cokehead" and also told all those who used to deal with him because of his father to cease.

The early release of an Antiguan sex offender has left the father of the frustrated with the system.

It is more than the father can deal with as he told the Antigua Observer that he doesn't know what to say to his children.

The offender, Osuide Simpson only served four months of her sentence before being released.

The distraught father said he was neither consulted nor informed and no explanation given regarding the release or pardon of a child molester.

Osuide Simpson according to reports from that country was sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to serious indecency on a three-year-old while working as a nanny at their home in 2016. Simpson confessed to being under the influence of drugs at the time of the offense.

But the father is not buying that as he believes had it been a man who had committed the same crime the results would have been different.

crime-scene-gun.jpgThe police have released the names of victims of three separate killings in Montego Bay, St James, which followed closely on the heels of a deadly robbery in the parish on Sunday. Then about 45 minutes later, passersby reportedly stumbled upon the body of 24-year-old Kerry-Ann Campbell along the shore line of Fisherman's Beach. Her head was reportedly bashed in.

buju-banton-photo-10.jpgThe organisers of Buju Banton's Long Walk To Freedom Concert set for the National Stadium in St Andrew on Saturday are encouraging patrons to come out early and make use of the park and ride shuttle service, which will be provided for patrons.

The concert is a kick off for the deejays first concert series since he was released from a United States prison in December where he served time on drug trafficking charges. In addition to Buju Banton, the entertainment package will feature Chronixx, Etana, Coco Tea, Delly Ranx, Romain Virgo, Ghost, Agent Sasco, LUST and Buju's son Jahzeil. Tickets for the bleachers section of the stadium are still available for sale at select Digicel stores.

Production manager for the event, Marlon Burke, told journalists that plans are in place to regulate the traffic in the area. This will include the close of several roads in the area surrounding the National Stadium and the regulation of traffic flow into the area of the concert. As a result, parking at the venue will be limited to essential services including the media and production teams as well as for some patrons holding Ultra VIP and VIP tickets.

"We will not be utilising the full parking capacity of the National Stadium. We're not trying to encourage any unnecessary traffic in the area and those who do not have the requisite parking stickers will be forced to used the park and ride. It is important for persons to utilise this service as we are having the Kingston City Run following the Buju Banton concert and we are trying our best to have a successful staging of both events. The parking facilities at Heroe Circle will be manned by by the JCF (police) and private security. Security won't be an issue, the venue will be properly lit and we have the backing of the KSAC (Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation bracket, the Jamaica Defence Force, the Fire Department."

Burke added that the shuttle will commence at 4:00 pm, four hours ahead of the start of the event.

munga-honorable.jpgMunga Honorebel, who is riding high with the song Nah Mad Ova Nuh Gal, is again able to travel to honour his overseas commitments, as his passport was returned by the courts recently.

"Munga's passport was returned to him last week. The judge granted our application based on the number of proposed dates for the artiste. Furthermore, Munga has always honoured his obligations to the court in terms of reporting conditions, and he is not considered a flight risk," Christopher Townsend, Munga's attorney-at-law, is reported as saying.

The prosecution did not oppose the application but insisted on one condition.

"The prosecution requested that all payments for overseas shows be remitted to Jamaica and held until the artiste's return," Townsend is reported as saying.

Munga recently did a show in The Bahamas, his first overseas in two years, before returning to Jamaica to perform at all-white event at the annual Britjam shows in Montego Bay.

"He has several shows all over the Caribbean during the next couple of weeks as his hit songs are dominating the charts all over," Townsend said.

In January, the deejay was briefly hospitalised following a three-way motor vehicle crash which claimed the life of a Canadian citizen.

donald-trump-photo-5.jpgThe United States will impose sanctions on foreign institutions helping to finance embattled far-left Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro, the White House said Wednesday.

The measure, announced by President Donald Trump's national security advisor John Bolton, is the latest tightening of screws in Washington's campaign to force Maduro from power.

"The United States is putting foreign financial institutions on notice that they will face sanctions for being involved in facilitating illegitimate transactions that benefit Nicolas Maduro and his corrupt network," Bolton said in a statement.

Trump is leading international pressure to have Maduro replaced by opposition leader Juan Guaido, whom Washington recognizes as the official interim president.

The government is already trying to cripple Maduro's access to finances via sanctions on state oil company PDVSA and handing control to Guaido of Venezuelan bank accounts in the United States.

More than 50 other countries have recognized Guaido as interim president, but Maduro has powerful backing from Russia and China. He describes the US-led campaign against him as an imperialist plot to seize control of the oil-rich nation.

Years of hard left rule have transformed once thriving Venezuela

Portland by-election date changed to April 4

Webmin
No Comments

The date for the highly anticipated by-election in East Portland has been pushed back to Thursday, April 4, while Nomination Day will now be Friday, March 15.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness had previously announced Monday, March 25 as the date for the polls and Friday, March 8, for Nomination Day.

The new date was announced by the Office of the Prime Minister via a press release on Monday evening.

When making the earlier announcement, the Prime Minister and, or his office, apparently did not take into account Ash Wednesday, a public holiday, which is being observed this Wednesday, March 6.

According to section 21 (1A) of the Representation of the People Act, a public holiday is an "excluded day". Under the legislation, Nomination Day must be held five clear days after the announcement, meaning this requirement would not have been met since Holness only announced the date for the by-election last Friday.

The by-election became necessary following the February 2 murder of Member of Parliament, Dr Lynvale Bloomfield of the Opposition People's National Party (PNP). The PNP has held the seat since 1989 and will be represented in the upcoming election by the controversial senator, Damion Crawford.

The governing Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) will be represented by Ann-Marie Vaz, wife of Daryl Vaz, the sitting MP for the neighbouring West Portland constituency.

Political pundits expect a battle royal as the JLP seeks to widen its slender three-seat majority in the House of Representatives while the PNP will be fighting to ensure it does not lose another by-election in less than two years. The South East St Mary seat went to the JLP's Dr Norman Dunn in October, 2017 in that by-election which followed the death of the sitting MP, Dr Winston Green.

They accepted framed citations and trophies from culture and entertainment minister Olivia "Babsy" Grange amidst a flurry of camera flashes. Judy Mowatt remarked that it was the first time in many years that all three were sharing a stage and gave thanks for the moment.

"It has been a hard journey for us; we worked tirelessly. Pregnant, coming off tour and just going into hospital to have the baby. But here we are. We want to just thank JaRIA for presenting us with this award. It has been over 30-odd years but indeed today, in 2019, we are still being recognised and still being awarded. We give God thanks," she said.

"This is a trinity unbroken," Griffiths chimed in. For Griffiths, it was a special moment, one which has not happened in over 15 years.

ras-without-locks-on-instagram-i-was-molested-by-my-brother.jpgTony Rebel's daughter, Avianah is at it again. She is posting stuff on social media that has a whole lot of people asking a whole lot of questions. Some persons believe, others are skeptical. But whatever the case, it sounds bad.

I was molested by my brother from i was 9 till my first year of high school. He told me he had a friend that liked me and i started talking to him and then he just stopped. I had no idea how to even say it to anyone. It was during one of my famous ass whoopings after my father told me he was going to send me away, i sat on the floor with my clothes ripped off and bruises oozing blood and responded to him, 'well, since i'm going away and i'm never going to see u again till i'm 18, u should know ________ use to feel me up when he thought i was sleeping. He called my brother and he said ' he doesn't know what i'm talking about, he has his girlfriend'. My father called me a lying bitch n continued to whoop my ass. My mother didn't say much. It wasn't until i was much older, during my squabbles with my brother i started to confront him. Whenever he started to get disrespectful or even when we physically fight i would just start screaming at him how he was nobody bcuz he use to feel me up and he thought i didnt know but i do. He would always walk away. Once i went there, he was mute. I remember arguing with him at the office one day and i started saying 'u r nobody, dnt forget u use to feel me up, and i heard my eldest sister say, 'laaawd Davahu, u nuh get over dat yet? So i was shocked out of my mind bcuz as far as i knew where that was concerned i was a lying bi!$h. So i went to her and said,'u know ? If u knw everybdy else knws then and she said, look frm when everybdy find out say a did true yaaa talk, u fi get over dat nw. I just walked out and left. I remember for years just walking around hoping that someone would just rescue me. Take all my pain, help me understand, help me go thru whatever the fv*k i was going thru. I felt like i was the cursed child. My uncle plays the guitar on this one and i remember my mind jus being in complete chaos and he called me out in the yard to just freestyle when he started playing as soon as he started the first thing i said was,'ITS GETTING DEEP, I'M GOING UNDER. PLEASE COME RESCUE ME'. Click the link in my bio for the full song !! #Princess 💋

kartel-lashes-out-after-bountys-post-about-the-three-bs.jpgBuju, Beenie and Bounty, those are the three B's who must be respected for their contribution to dancehall. But Vybz Kartel is hopping mad and questions why these elders should be respected.

Actually, it's the simple principle of respecting those on whose shoulders we stand. And when society reaches the point where it is no longer cool to respect the elders, then it is serious times. From time immemorial, the is a principle that has ben upheld and respected, throughout all cultures, so those who have nothing significant to say should just keep quiet.

The Social Development Commission (SDC) and the Stony Hill Development Area Committee are partnering to host a Pumpkin Festival on March 30.

For more information interested individuals may contact the SDC at 876-948-1194.

us-supreme-court-upholds-same-sex-marriage-nationwide.jpgNews have emerged out of the Cayman Islands that the country's Chief Justice in a landmark ruling has made same sex marriage legal.

Education ministry audit ongoing

ruel-reid-photo-1.jpgReports are that a performance audit of the Education, Youth and Information Ministry by the Auditor General's Department (AGD) is to be completed by next month.

Webmin

ruel-reid.jpgThe Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) has expressed shock at this morning's sudden resignation of Minister of Education, Youth and Information Senator Ruel Reid.

Ruel Reid was asked to resign

ruel-reid-photo-2.jpgPrime Minister Andrew Holness says he asked Ruel Reid to resign to clear the way amid an investigation into allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Education Youth and Information.

Rev. Jesse Jackson will be celebrated and given the Special Freedom Fighter Honor.
Also being honoured is Hon. Olivier 'Babsy' Grange who will be bestowed with Martin's International/IRAWMA Reggae/Jamaica person of the year.

bujus-son-markus-asks-for-prayers-poses-with-his-father.jpgThings took a turn for the better in the Markus Myrie Buju Banton drama on Monday evening, when Markus uploaded a picture of himself and his father to his Insta Story and wrote an apology/explanation, in it telling the world that he loves his father and acknowledging his errors.

Actually, some feel that Gaza Nation alone can fill the stadium and it will not be so difficult for press people to get their accreditation and all else that they need to cover the event.

road-accident.jpgProducer Ainsley 'Notnice' Morris was shaken up but largely unhurt in a motor vehicle accident that occurred along Perkins Boulevard in St Andrew on Thursday afternoon. However, he has so far not mentioned this on social media, as he does everything else. The Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the Jamaica Constabulary Force's (JCF) information arm, confirmed the collision, and said a "police service vehicle, a bike man and a BMW were involved" in the crash.

A source reported that, "He (Notnice) went to the doctor and then went home. He is okay, but the BMW wheel tear off, as the bike man ran into it."

Eyewitnesses said the police service vehicle was also damaged in the collision.

Police awaiting medical report from Markus

police-station.jpgThe police say that although Markus Myrie, the son of Mark "Buju Banton" Myrie, has filed a report against his father alleging that he was assaulted, they cannot moved on the case until they receive an official medical report.

I love you" as the I-Three appeared on stage at JaRIA's awrds on Tuesday to accept the Icon Award. One by one, they appeared; Mowatt leading, followed by Griffiths and the wheelchair-bound Marley.

For Griffiths, it was a special moment, one which has not happened in over 15 years.

jcdc-logo.jpgThe Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) is currently on an island-wide search for empowered young women who are intelligent, culturally-aware and poised and are seeking a platform to make their contributions to nation building. An agency of the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the JCDC is seeking entrants for the 2019 Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition which closes on Friday, March 22.

"A signature programme of the JCDC, the Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition focuses on leadership, appreciation of the role of women, culture, creative talent and community involvement has produced some outstanding queens who have continued to make a significant contribution to building 'Brand Jamaica' beyond their reign," said JCDC Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Andrew Clunis.

"This competition provides holistic development for all the young women who enter. These aspiring cultural ambassadors will receive training in speech and diction, poise, talent and business and social etiquette and will leave the competition ready to lead their peers in contributing to national development," Clunis continued.

With millions in cash and prizes to be won, young women, between 18-25 years old must first compete at the parish level, before the Grand National Coronation, which forms part of the Jamaica Independence Festival.

vybz-kartel-photo-30.jpgPopular dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel was reportedly a patient at the University hospital in St Andrew receiving treatment.

He was discharged fon Tuesday afternoon, however, some reports say that he was receiving treatment there since Sunday, while other reports are that he went in on Tuesday.

leigha_alli

I grew up with your songs and you were one of the few artists that I actually looked up to...until now.

I can't believe you've been such a HORRIBLE, SICKENINGLY DISGUSTING father to your daughter.

I pray you don't have anymore kids, especially not daughters. I hope that whatever path life takes your daughter on, she's strong enough to forgive you. But I honestly would not blame her if she didn't.

You're a disgrace as a da

My uncle plays the guitar on this one and i remember my mind jus being in complete chaos and he called me out in the yard to just freestyle when he started playing as soon as he started the first thing i said was,'ITS GETTING DEEP, I'M GOING UNDER. us-supreme-court-upholds-same-sex-marriage-nationwide.jpgNews have emerged out of the Cayman Islands that the country's Chief Justice in a landmark ruling has made same sex marriage legal.

Education ministry audit ongoing

ruel-reid-photo-1.jpgReports are that a performance audit of the Education, Youth and Information Ministry by the Auditor General's Department (AGD) is to be completed by next month.

Ruel Reid was asked to resign

ruel-reid-photo-2.jpgPrime Minister Andrew Holness says he asked Ruel Reid to resign to clear the way amid an investigation into allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Education Youth and Information.

Directed by Jordan Hoechlin & Mojo Morgan with production for the video made possible by made possible by CTBC Music Group, Island Vibes Coconut Rum, Bonfire Adventures, Onyx Lounge, Tribe Hotel, Eden Mara Camp, Village Market, Mario Tours and Roya Entertainment, "Pay Attention" featured four elegant timeless beautiful models provided by an agency owned by supermodel by Ajuma Nasenyana.

irawma-awards.jpgThe 37th staging of the Irawma awards will be held this year in Kingston at the world famous Jamaica Pegasus hotel on May 11, 2019. Minister Babsy Grange, who spoke at the launch, said it was most fitting that the event be held on that day as it is the anniversary of the passing of "reggae's biggest icon Bob Marley." She reflected that Bob's wish was to make his transition in Jamaica but while she was arranging to make that possible he succumbed to his illness.
Bob will be posthumously receiving the Special Emperor of Reggae and World Music Honor.

This year there are 40 categories of awards with the lead nominees being Shaggy, Sean Paul, and Koffee who is nominated for Best Female Vocalist, Best New Entertainer, Best Teen Entertainer and Most Promising Entertainer.
Rev. Jesse Jackson will be celebrated and given the Special Freedom Fighter Honor.

bujus-son-markus-asks-for-prayers-poses-with-his-father.jpgThings took a turn for the better in the Markus Myrie Buju Banton drama on Monday evening, when Markus uploaded a picture of himself and his father to his Insta Story and wrote an apology/explanation, in it telling the world that he loves his father and acknowledging his errors.

A man identified as 45-year-old Allen Walters, also known as "Beers", was shot dead in the tough Norwood community about 8:15 am.

Then about 45 minutes later, passersby reportedly stumbled upon the body of 24-year-old Kerry-Ann Campbell along the shore line of Fisherman's Beach. Her head was reportedly bashed in.

And, 38-year-old man Suneil Foskins of Bethel Town, Westmoreland was shot dead about 10:30 am in the community of Farm Hill, Montego Bay. The three killings followed the dramatic, suspected multimillion-dollar heist by heavily armed men on Jarrett Street that started to unfold about 8:00 am.

Reports are that the gunmen intercepted a marked security company vehicle that was being used to escort a minibus. Security guard Canute Earle, 61, of Norwood, and 41-year-old driver Floyd Wilson of Rosemount Gardens were killed in that attack.

buju-banton-photo-10.jpgThe organisers of Buju Banton's Long Walk To Freedom Concert set for the National Stadium in St Andrew on Saturday are encouraging patrons to come out early and make use of the park and ride shuttle service, which will be provided for patrons.

I love you" as the I-Three appeared on stage at JaRIA's awrds on Tuesday to accept the Icon Award. One by one, they appeared; Mowatt leading, followed by Griffiths and the wheelchair-bound Marley.

For Griffiths, it was a special moment, one which has not happened in over 15 years.

jcdc-logo.jpgThe Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) is currently on an island-wide search for empowered young women who are intelligent, culturally-aware and poised and are seeking a platform to make their contributions to nation building.

Clunis also noted that a major component of the competition is the social outreach aspect where the contestants are encouraged to give back to their respective communities by organizing social projects, which are always well received.

Since its inception in 1963, the Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition has provided opportunities for outstanding young women to leave their mark on not only Jamaica's culture but all spheres of our nation's development. Some of the past queens include Dr. Marsha Barnett, Jennifer 'Jenny-Jenny' Small, Jacinth Hall-Tracey, Dahlia Harris, Krystal Tomlinson and Kaysia Johnson.

Entry forms and other details for the 2019 Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition can be accessed on the JCDC website at www.jcdc.gov.jm the JCDC Head Office at 3-5 Phoenix Avenue in Kingston or at any JCDC Parish Office island-wide.

vybz-kartel-photo-30.jpgPopular dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel was reportedly a patient at the University hospital in St Andrew receiving treatment.

He was discharged fon Tuesday afternoon, however, some reports say that he was receiving treatment there since Sunday, while other reports are that he went in on Tuesday.

The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland in the front of the neck. It produces hormones that control the speed of your metabolism -- the system that helps the body use energy. Thyroid disorders can slow down or rev up metabolism by disrupting the production of thyroid hormones.

tony-rebel-on-instagram-i-had-to-join-these-kids-on-stage-for-my-song.jpgAs expected, the things that Rebe's daughter is saying about him, has the potential to really hurt his brand.

You're a disgrace as a da

ras-without-locks-on-instagram-i-was-molested-by-my-brother.jpgTony Rebel's daughter, Avianah is at it again.
